Disclosure Of Information Under The Right To Information Act.

J&k Khadi and village industries board is a statuary board established under act no.xvi of 1965called as

“J&k Khadi & village industries board act 1965”with the aim to encourage, organize, develop and regulate Khadi

and village industries in the j&k state . The district office was set up in district Reasi in the year 2007-08 to

implement the programme PMEGP which was launched by the govt. of India by clubbing two schemes i.e. PMRY and

REGP to give the opportunity to unemployed youth as well as artisans to generate their self employed units. The

scheme is applicable to all new village industry projects set up in “Rural Area”. The rural area classified as village as

per the revenue records of the states, respective of the population and area even if classified as town, provided its

population does not exceed 20,000 is rural area.

(B) (i)To start, encourage, assist and carry on Khadi And Village Industries and to carry on trade or business in

such industries and in the matters incidental to such trade or business.

(ii)To help the people by providing them with work in their homes and to give loans and other forms of monetary help

to individuals on such terms as may be prescribed.

. To organize training centers to train people with a view to equip them with the necessary knowledge for starting or

carrying on Khadi and Village Industries.

(iii) All the decisions has been taken up the higher ups of KVIB at state level.

(iv) To provide financial assistance to the beneficiaries, the field staffs of the board/office indentified the bonafied

cases and fill up their forms and call for an interview before the district level task force committee under the

chairman ship of worthy Distt. Dev. Commissioner of the district and cases of the selected beneficiaries sponsored to

the banks for the sanction of the funds.

.Proof of residence (Copy of Ration card/voter identity card)

.Training /Experience Certificate.

.N.O.C. Of Gram Panchayat with population.

.Affidavit on Rs.10/- stamp paper verified by notary.

. Proper License if required.

(vii)The awareness camp/exhibitions are being organized by the board to aware the general public about the working

of the board (KVIB)

(viii) All the steps in this behalf been taken by the board.
