KEYNOTE SPEAKER:Lamman Rucker Actor, Producer, Educator, Activist and Duquesne Alumnus
Lamman Rucker was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and grew up in Washington, D.C. He is best known for his roles on the hit sitcom Meet the Browns, the box office smash Why Did I Get Married? and its sequel Why Did I Get Married Too?, which were produced by Tyler Perry films. He has also appeared on the daytime dramas As the World Turns and All My Children. Lamman is a high school graduate of the illustrious Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in information technology & business and a master’s degree in education & curriculum development from Duquesne University. Lamman is a passionate activist and spokesperson for several non-profit organizations and engages in numerous community service initiatives.
