The Office of Graduate Education works with faculty to elevate the quality of graduate education across the University and challenges students to make original, creative discoveries by immersing themselves in their education. Graduate education offers workshops for students on writing, finding fellowships, and careers, in addition to providing a wealth of tools to help students navigate their graduate school experiences from assistantships to dissertations.

UT Dallas provides some of the state’s most-lauded business, engineering and science programs, and also has developed a breadth of highly diverse educational paths across eight schools, including innovative and traditional programs in the liberal arts.

UT Dallas has fostered a strong tradition of academic and research excellence since its inception. Graduate students, at all levels, are actively engaged in research. Five new research buildings have been added since 2016, adding over 600,000 square feet of space.

UT Dallas offers both variable and fixed tuition plans. The variable tuition plan will adjust each year and is the default plan for all entering students. All new students are eligible to lock in their tuition rate for four years by opting in to the guaranteed tuition plan.

utdallas.edu/finaid The Office of Financial Aid helps remove financial barriers and assists students with the cost of atten-dance at UT Dallas. The office strives to provide students with the federal, state and institutional financial assistance they are eligible to receive to pursue their educational objectives.

utdallas.edu/graduate/finances Many graduate programs offer teaching and research assistantships that give graduate students the opportunity to teach classes, and conduct fieldwork and laboratory experiments.

graduate.utdallas.edu/research/fellowshipsGraduate Fellowship Services provides resources to help graduate students and postdoctoral scholars find and apply for external funding — whether it is for fellowships or research grants. Fellowship Advising offers several workshops during the year as well as one-on-one support for students at any stage of the funding application process.

Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurshipinnovation.utdallas.edu

The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a campuswide initiative that promotes cross-disci-plinary academic and startup programs. Students have the opportunity to gain experience in entrepreneurial activities to earn a degree or a concentration in innovation and entrepreneurship. The institute is a resource for all students interested in startup competitions, entrepreneurial academics, tech com-mercialization or mentorship to support the launch of their own companies.
