Knights of Columbus – Preparation for the Consecration of the Holy Family

In preparation for a Consecration to the Holy Family, your family should not only decide to dedicate itself to the Holy Family’s intercession but also acknowledge that the family is sacred. The decision to consecrate your family needs to be intentional and a process through which you completely surrender to God through the Holy Family. You are accepting the truth that salvation history was changed forever by a family, and that through your domestic church, you are called to live their example. …Continued in next weeks bulletin…

The Knights of Columbus invites you and your family to participate in a self reflected Novena for Life in nine days of sustained prayer, to build up a culture of life in our parishes, homes and wider community. To participate, pray the Rosary during each of the nine days of the Novena, recite the Rosary of Life Prayer & Gospel of Life Prayer and lastly encourage members of your family to do the same. This Novena is in conjunction with the Consecration of the Holy Family event. Prayer cards will be distributed at the Churches during the Novena Dec. 21- Dec 29. For more information and to download digital prayer card please visit: https://facebook.com/events/472893830000165/

Advent Mission on Prayer

with Fr. Matthew Sobierajski

December 15-17

The Webster’s dictionary tells us that a prayer is the act of addressing supplication to a divinity, especially to the true God; the offering of adoration, confession, supplication, and thanksgiving to the Supreme Being. Perfect. But what does it mean to be at prayer? Why it is so difficult to pray? Is it not just a waste of our time? Come and find out.

Sunday, December 15th at 7p.m. at Sacred Heart Church *What is prayer and why it is so difficult?

Monday, December 16th at 7p.m. at St. Michael Church (immediately following 6:30p.m. Mass) *Why should I pray?

Tuesday, December 17th at 7p.m. at Sacred Heart Church *How do I pray?
