Office 365 - Newsfeed

Office 365 Newsfeed is the social networking place for KSAU-HS users. Share your news, follow people and get all their updates, create and follow # tags, create blogs, follow your team sites, collaborate on projects and much more.

How to Open the Newsfeed: Step1: After logging into the Office365 portal, click on the ( ) icon located in the top left corner to drop down the “My App” list.

Step2: Click on Newsfeed.

Step3: Click on the search button. Select People and then look for the person you want to follow and then click on “follow” as shown below.

Example for Creating a Newsfeed Post: In this example we are creating a post about a graduation ceremony with a hash tag and mentioning a person who will be the main guest.

Step1: Select the audience that you wish to share your post with. You can either share to everyone or to a team site you have membership in.

Step 2: As shown in the two images below, use the # symbol and type the title for the hash tag, in this case it is #GraduationCeremony. To mention a person in your post use the @ sign and type the name of the person. Choose the name if available from the drop down list. Once done, please click on “POST” and it will be published on your Newsfeed.
