2. I have to request that your Ministers will be sogood as to cause the conditions of the prize to be madeknown to those bodies and persons who are qualified tonominate candidates.

3. It will be observed that the names of candidatesshould be received by the Nobel Committee before the1st of February, 1911.

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.

All proposals of candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize,which is tc, be distributed December 10th, 1911, must, inorder to be taken into consideration, be laid before the,Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament by a dulyqualified person before the first of February of the sameyear.

Any one of the following persons is held to be dulyqualified: (a) Members and late members of the NobelCommittee of the Norwegian Parliament, as well as theadvisers appointed at the Norwegian Nobel Institute;(b) Members of Parliament and Members of Governmentof the different States, as well as Members of the Inter-

, parliamentary Union; (c) Members of the internationalArbitration Court at the Hague; (d) Members of theCommission of the Permanent International PeaceBureau; (e) Members and Associates of the Instituteof International Law; (f) University professors ofPolitical Science and of Law, of History and ofPhilosophy; and (g) Persons who have received theNobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel Peace Prize nay also he accorded to institu-tions or associations.

According to the Code of Statutes, Section 8, thegrounds upon which any proposal is made must be stated,

:and handed in along with such papers and other docu-ments as may therein lie referred to.

According to Section 3, every written work, to qualifyfor a prize, must have appeared in print.

For particulars, qualified persons are requested toapply to the office of the Nobel Committee of the Nor-wegian Parliament, Drammensvei 19, Kristiana.

The Afeekatharrit hood Board, in exercise of thepowers conferred by "The Roads Act, 1902," and ofevery other authority enabling it in that behalf, (lothHereby Make the following By-law's;—

Camels to be .Registered.I. No person shall own, keep, or use within. the

Meekatharra Road 'District (hereinafter referred to as" the District ") ;Any camel unless such camel is registeredfor the time being at the office of the Road Board ofthe said District. Provided that no person shall be re-quired to register a camel under this By-law during suchtime as the camel is duly registered in the office of someother Road District.

Application for Registration.2. Application for registration shall be made to the

Secretary to the Board by writing in the Form "A"in the Schedule, and shall contain the particulars in-dicated thereby, and shall be signed by the applicant orhis agent.

Registration Foes.3. The following fees shall be payable on registra-

tion of camels plying for hire:—In respect of every bull camel over three years (3f

age-10s. per annum.l.a respect of every camel used for packipg-

For every bull camel under three years of age-10s. per annum.

For every cow or gelding-2s. 6d. per annum.In respect of every camel used for draught 'only

(except bull camels over three years of age)—10s. per annum.

Provided that no registration fee shall be payable inrespect of camels used solely by prospectors for pros-pecting purposes.

Certificate of Registration.4. A certificate of registration shall be issued by the

Secretary to the Board to the applicant in the Form"B" in the Schedule.

Duration.5. Every registration shall expire on the thirty-first

day of December in the year for which such registrationis effected.

Registration Discs. •

6. On the annual registration of every camel theBoard will issue to the applicant a registration discinscribed with the name of the district and the regis-tration number.

Every person in charge for the time being of suchcamel shall keep the disc attached to the neck of thecamel.

Registration Certificate to be produced.

7. And the certificate of registration for each andevery camel in his charge whenever called upon so todo by any constable or officer of police, or any memberor officer of the Road Board.

Limit of Number of Camels to be driven,.S. No person shall at the same time drive or take

the charge of more than eleven camels, Ivhether draughtor pack camels, or partly draught and partly pack

9. In all cases of cainels meeting or overtaking- ahorse or bullock team, or a vehicle of any description,the person in charge or the driver of such carrels shall,when within two hundred yards of the team or vehicle,take the camels off the road and at least twenty yardsfrom the centre thereof.

10. No camel-owners or persons in charge of camelsshall allow the camels to remain at a well or pool morethan half an hour for the purpose of watering, or allowany camels to camp within a-half of a Dine of ally wellor natural surface water, nor allow any emnels to campless than 300 yards from any road.

Unregistered Camels may be destroyed.

Any unregistered camel found straying in anypart of the Board's district may be seized and eithersold or destroyed, after such camel has been advertisedfor three weeks in some paper circulated in the district;the owner shall be liable to pay to the Board the costar i l expense incurred, in addition to registration fees.

Pen«ity for suffering Camels to Stray.12. If any camel is suffered to stray, the owner

thereof, and any person who, having been in charge there-of, has suffered it to stray, shall be guilty of an offenceagainst these By-laws.

A OTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of FriendlySocieties has, pursuant to " The Co-operative and Provi-dent Societies Act, 1903," this day cancelled the registryof the South-Western District Co-operative Society Limi-ted, register No. 9, held at Banbury, on the ground fol-lowing, that is to say : The Society has ceased to exist.

The Society- (subject to the right of appeal given bythe said Act) ceases to enjoy the privileges of a regis-tered society, but without prejudice to any liability in-curred by the society which may be enforced againstit as if such cancelling had not taken place.
