春暖花開，校園到處綻放賞心悅目的花

卉。不知各位最近有否察覺到，崇基校園

有一項工程已準備就緒，蓄勢待發？所說

的是教職員宿舍 C 座對面、校園山腰處

的「崇基學生發展綜合大樓」工地—

綜合大樓項目的建築工程即將展開，工人

已紛紛進駐工地，為建設工程做好準備。

光陰似箭，日月如梭，回溯二〇一七年

十月學院公佈興建「崇基學生發展綜合

大樓」至今，歷時已近一年半。綜合大樓

項目歷經籌募運動啟動禮、動土典禮、一

連串的籌募活動和兩幢舊教職員宿舍的拆

卸工程等，整體進度符合預期。

有賴各位鼎力支持綜合大樓項目，踴躍響

應學院舉辦的各項籌款活動，港幣一億元

的籌募目標已達標逾半，已籌得及獲認捐

的捐款已接近港幣五千四百萬元，尚餘港

幣約四千六百多萬元有待崇基師生、教職

員、校友及友好的支持方能成事。

大樓預計將於九百多天後落成啟用，拓展

事務處希望趁此時刻，與大家一起回顧綜

合大樓項目至今的各大小事，並一起展望

綜合大樓的落成和啟用。

Dear Chung Chi-ers and friends, booming with loads of blossoms in their full beauty, spring has come already. Yet have you noticed, on the other hand, a dynamic modification of the College’s landscape to begin right outside Staff Quarters Block C? The long-awaited construction of “Chung Chi Student Development Complex” after demolition of Staff Quarters Blocks D & G has eventually commenced. Currently the construction sites are undergoing preparation works.

Time flies. Nearly one and a half year have passed since the College announcing the resolution to construct “Chung Chi Student Development Complex” in October 2017. Upon the Kick-off Ceremony of Fundraising Campaign for Redevelopment Project, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Chung Chi Student Development Complex, and the demolition of the two blocks of Staff Quarters, the construction of Complex is deemed on schedule.

Thanks to the amazing support from Chung Chi-ers and friends, and also the overwhelming participation to kinds of fundraising events and campaigns hosted by the College, half of the HK$ 100 million fundraising target of the Project is now accomplished. At the moment, an amount of almost HK$ 54 million has been raised for the Student Development Complex, which means there is around HK$ 46 million waiting ahead for the contribution from staff members, alumni and friends of Chung Chi.

Looking forward to the inauguration of Student Development Complex in less than a thousand days, let us now join with Development Office to recall the series of fundraising events and campaigns since the kick-off of Student Development Complex Project.

自二〇一七年落實興建「崇基學生發展綜合大樓」

起，學院透過不同的鳴謝方式，答謝捐款支持綜合

大樓項目的善長仁翁。二〇一八年年中，學院發起

「瓩夢（千瓦夢）」馬賽克牆籌款運動，以及「每月

一咖啡」定額捐款計劃，結果一呼百應，不少教職員、

校友，以至禮拜堂會眾等學院友好都紛紛表態支持，

新一代崇基同學可望享用更完備的室內活動空間及

設施。

除個人捐款外，學院謹在此再呼籲各位崇基人及友

好，可與親朋和同窗，透過家庭、團體甚至級社等集

體捐款，合力支援崇基同學的全人發展，為他們營造

更優質的校園環境！欲支持新設的「學院一般發展

基金」，為崇基同學營造更 美好的學習環境，請即

As the College commenced the Student Development Complex Project, a special acknowledgement plan designated for the Project launched as well, so that every heartfelt support from every philanthropist could be recognised. Thereafter in mid-2018, the College further launched the “Kilo-Dream Tile” mosaic wall fundraising campaign, and the “Daily Coffee” monthly donation campaign, which both earned not only the firm support from staff members, alumni and even friends attending Sunday Service of College Chapel, but also a great number of steps forward for students of Chung Chi to experience an advancing campus.

「廉航公司出現對航空業發展利大於弊」。

At the College Assembly on 18 January 2019, the Debating Team of Chung Chi College and the Debating Team of Chu Hai College of Higher Education met for a friendly match over the motion “The Rise of Budget Airline Does More Good than Harm to Aviation Industry”.

一月廿四日的牧靈關顧委員會午餐聚會邀得曾任職環

境保護署旳趙繼馨女士主講，題目為「起初―關愛

受造世界：現在―衣、食、住、行關我事」。

Ms. Christine Kai-hing Chiu, who formenly worked in the Environmental Protection Department, was the guest speaker of the Luncheon Talk of the Pastoral and Spiritual Care Committee on 24 January 2019. Her topic was “The Beginning of Creation Care: Daily Living Really Matters”.

由校牧室主辦、以關懷內地本科生為目標的「愛家關懷計

劃」於二月十五日舉辦新春盆菜晚宴。除關愛家長及參加

Organized by the Chaplain’s Office with the aim of taking care of the mainland undergraduate students, the “Host Family Caring Programme” held the Spring Gathering of Poon Choi Dinner on 15 February 2019. Apart from the Caring Parents, some members of the Congregation of the Chapel joined the dinner as well to show their support to the participating students. The students also expressed their gratitude to the Caring Parents on the occasion.

「靜觀 x 禪繞工作坊」於二月二十日舉行。參加者學

習如何透過畫禪繞畫，讓自己安靜下來，並培養靜心

觀察的習慣。

The “Mindfulness x Zentangle Workshop” was held on 20 February 2019. In the workshop, participants learned how to achieve calmness and cultivate inner peace through Zentangle drawing.

「『不再佛系生涯規劃』工作坊」於一月廿六日舉辦，邀得陳寶恩

女士（心理及職涯輔導員、全球職涯發展師（GCDF）及GCDF認證培訓師）擔任導師，帶領同學認識自己，助他們更好地規劃個人

生活和職業生涯。

The Career Development Workshop Series was held on 26 January 2019. Ms. Mabel Chan (Psychological and Career Counsellor, certified GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator) and certified GCDF Trainer) was invited to serve as the instructor. Through guidance and self-understanding activities, students could enhance their personal skills and better plan their lives and career.

由鄭漢文博士主持的「生命三維敘事自我理解工作坊」於二月二十日舉

行。透過鄭博士所創發的「生命三維敘事法」，工作坊旨在幫助參加者

理解自己的願望、品質和身分，從而對自我有更深的醒覺，活出更美好

的人生。

Conducted by Dr. Roger Cheng, the “SQUID Narrative Self-Understanding Workshop” was held on 20 February 2019. Through the SQUID Narrative Method invented by Dr. Cheng, the workshop aimed at helping the participants to achieve a higher level of self-understanding through ranking their qualities, identities and desires in three orders, so as to lead a better, meaningful life.

共兩節的「生命與默想」分別於三月六日及十三日舉行。在署理校牧劉國偉先

生的帶領下，參加同學認識默想的入門技巧，一起進行默想操練，並探索默想

對生命成長的助益。

The two sessions of “Life and Meditation” was held on 6 and 13 March 2019. Under the guidance of Mr. Simon Lau, the Acting Chaplain, the students learned and practised the basic skills of meditation, and explored how meditation benefited their growth.

The four-sess ion“Ease: Four Weeks wi th Yoga and Mindfulness” was held in March 2019. Through integrating movement practice of yoga and mindfulness exercise, students could connect their body and mind, so as to take care of their emotions and to water the seeds of joy.

由崇基學院與醫學院合辦之春日緩跑於三月二日舉行，約四百五十名教職員、學生及校友參加。當日上午一眾健兒齊集在威

爾斯親王醫院準備起跑。

Co-organized by the College and the Faculty of Medicine, the Fun Run 2019 was held on 2 March 2019. About 450 staff members, students and alumni participated in the event this year. A group photo was taken at the Prince of Wales Hospital before the Run started.

彰他在數學、物理學等的卓越貢獻，以及對中國數學研究發展的推動與付出。典禮由鳳凰衛視及鳳凰網、

中國新聞社及世界華文媒體集團發起，並連同二十餘家海內外華語媒體共同主辦。同仁謹致賀忱！

Professor Yau Shing Tung, Honorary Fellow of the College, was bestowed the lifetime achievement award at the You Bring Charm to the World awards ceremony 2018-2019 in recognition of his achievements in the fields of mathematics and physics, and his contribution in promoting mathematics study in China. The award ceremony is sponsored by Phoenix TV, China News Service and Media Chinese International Ltd, and co-organized by more than 20 Chinese media to recognize the world’s top Chinese influencers. Our hearty congratulations!

崇基同學獲創新科技獎學金Chung Chi Student Receives Innovation and Technology Scholarship 物理系二年級楊振一同學獲「創新科技獎學金」，他將獲資助參與海交流計劃、實習及服務等一系列項目，

以擴闊視野和加強對科學的熱誠。楊同學計劃到加州大學柏克萊分校作流生，參與計算物理學及宇宙學研

究。獎學金由香港青年協會主辦，並獲滙豐銀行及創新科技署贊助及支持，以表揚傑出的理工及醫學本科

生。同仁謹致賀忱！

Mr. Yeung Chun Yat, year two student in Physics, is awarded the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2019 and will be supported to participate in a series of initiatives to widen his international exposure and develop his passion and commitment towards science and technology. One of his plans will be participating in computational physics and cosmology research at the University of California, Berkeley. The Scholarship Award Scheme, organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups with the sponsorship of HSBC and support of the Innovation and Technology Commission, aims to provide recognition to outstanding undergraduates in science, engineering and medicine related fields. Our hearty congratulations!

· 那打素護理學院助理教授周嘉明教授獲資助於二○一九年四月十一至十二日，參加在美國底特律舉行之二○一九年青少年健康研討會。

Professor Chow Ka Ming, Assistant Professor in the Nethersole School of Nursing, was subsidized to attend the 2019 Conference on Adolescent Health held in Detroit, USA from 11 to 12 April 2019.

· 生物醫學學院副教授、本學院副院長及學生輔導長高永雄教授獲資助於二○一九年五月十三至十四日，參加在馬來西亞吉隆坡舉行之第三屆細胞科學及分子生物學世界會議。

Professor Ko Wing Hung, Associate Professor in the School of Biomedical Science, and Associate Head and Dean of Students of the College, was subsidized to attend The 3rd World Congress on Cell Science and Molecular Biology to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 13 to 14 May 2019.

崇基學院教職員聯誼會及教職員生活委員會謹訂於五月十日（星期五）晚上，假沙田萬怡酒店合辦歷史悠久的

聯誼會傳統活動「五月餐舞會」。

「八十後」小小展―利漢楨教授作品展“After 80: little little show” – An Art Exhibition by Professor Hon-Ching Lee

由崇基學院、聯合書院及伍宜孫書院合辦、中大文物館協辦的「『八十後』

小小展――利漢楨教授作品展」將於四月至五月舉行。

利漢楨教授是旅美藝術名家，長於雕塑及版畫。他早於六十年代負笈美國，

先後於多所大學研習建築與藝術，並於一九六七年獲俄勒岡大學藝術（雕塑）

碩士學位。利教授其後於美從事藝術工作多年，包括於俄勒岡大學及洛克福

學院等校任藝術教授，又曾出任奇樂藝術中心主任，除創作及授課外，亦籌

辦多次大型藝術展覽。

近年利教授積極推動中大校內的藝術活動，包括舉辦講座、工作坊、示範等，

又邀請海外及本地的藝術家到訪，豐富校園的藝文生活。除了幕後策劃外，

剛踏入「八十後」的他，仍創作不斷。是次展覽將展出利教授多件近作，主

要是版畫及攝影作品。此外，展覽亦為完善展場設備而籌款，以支持藝術教

育的發展。展覽詳情如下：

Jointly organized by Chung Chi College, United College and Wu Yee Sun College, and co-organized by the Art Museum, “After 80: little little show” – An Art Exhibition by Professor Hon-Ching Lee” will be staged in April and May 2019.

A renowned artist based in the US, Professor Hon-Ching Lee is specialized in sculpture and printmaking. Early in the 1960s, Professor Lee went to America to pursue his studies in architecture and art in different universities, and then received the Master of Fine Arts (sculpture) with honors from the University of Oregon in 1967. After that, he has been working in the art field for many years, including teaching art at University of Oregon and Rockford College, serving as the Director of the Clark Arts Center Gallery, etc.

In recent years, Professor Lee has been actively involved in promoting art in CUHK, from holding art talks and workshops, to inviting local as well as overseas artists to visit the university, enriching the artistic and cultural life on campus. Despite reaching his eighties, Professor Lee keeps creating art in different forms. The upcoming exhibition will feature a number of Professor Lee’s recent art works, mainly prints and photographs, and it will raise funds for improving the equipment of the exhibition venue. 退宿回收活動Recycling Programme at Student Hostels為鼓勵循環再用，減少浪費，校園環境委員會與崇基學生會於本學年退宿期間合辦回收活動。回收物品包括：衣物、

玻璃樽、文具、書籍、電腦及配件、小型電器、廚具，及已清潔消毒之寢具如被毯等。所得大部份物資將由社區環

保站「綠在沙田」回收，分類循環再造或轉贈重用；而寢具及其他物資則由大學物業管理處安排回收。

To reduce waste upon hostel retreat and promote environmental awareness, the College Campus Environment Committee and the College Student Union are jointly organizing a recycling programme in May. The programme welcomes donations of items such as clothing, glass bottles, books, stationery, computers and accessories, electrical appliances, kitchenware, cleaned and disinfected duvets etc. Resident students are encouraged to have their unwanted recyclables placed into designated recycle bins at their hostel when they move out. Most of the items collected will be passed to the “Shatin District Community Green Station” for recycling and reuse. Bedding items will be collected by the Estates Management Office for reuse.

藉此回收活動，校園環境委員會希望推動師生實踐環保，適當處理可重用之物品，減少製造廢物。

師生盃賽果公佈 Results of College Staff and Students Cup

由學院體育委員會及崇基體育部合辦的第十五屆「崇基學院師生盃」已於本年二月十一至十四日圓

滿舉行，項目包括羽毛球、網球及乒乓球，三項賽事均獲學院教職員及同學踴躍參與，參賽人數合

共約九十之多。雙方藉師生盃的機會得以切磋球技並交流心得，增進師生的互動。各項比賽之結果

Jointly organized by the College Physical Education Committee and the College Physical Education Unit, the 15th Chung Chi College Staff and Students Cup was successfully held from 11 to 14 February 2019. Having attracted as many as 90 contestants, the Cup has been an excellent platform for exchange of skills and fostering of the bond between College staff and students. Results of the badminton, tennis and table tennis events are listed below:

圖書館二樓翻新計劃 Refurbishment Project of Second Floor

崇基學院牟路思怡圖書館繼地下和一樓成功完成翻新工程後，將於今年夏季重新規劃二樓範圍，竣工後可提供更多研

習空間之餘，更特別增設音樂圖書館。二樓翻新工程定於二○一九年五月十四日至八月三十日進行，項目包括：（一）

增加研習空間及電腦工作站；（二）設置音樂角；（三）新增密集書架；（四）擴闊行人通道改善流通；（五）重新

安排館藏及設施位置，令景觀更開揚；（六）將閱讀區融入館藏範圍；及（七）重置無障礙設施提升空間感。

工程期間，二樓全層及崇基學院校史檔案館將關閉，一樓部份閱覽區域則暫時改作臨時存放館藏之用。

除上述外，館內其他範圍維持開放，地下及一樓部份區域不受工程影響，讀者可如常使用。另外，現存的教學資料館

藏（學前、小學、中學教學資料）將由二樓移往地庫。圖書館會為讀者提供取書服務，讀者經申請後可於支援服務櫃

枱提取關閉範圍內的館藏。此外，夜讀室將暫停開放至二○一九年八月三十一日。

如對牟路思怡圖書館的翻新工程有任何查詢，請隨時與圖書館職員聯絡，圖書館網頁亦會適時更新工程進度。

Following the successful renovations of the G/F and 1/F of the Chung Chi College Elisabeth Luce Moore Library, the 2/F of the Library will be remodeled to provide more study spaces for users and to include a purpose-built Music Library in summer 2019. Renovation of the 2/F is scheduled to start from 14 May to 30 August 2019. The refurbishment project will include: (1) increased study and workstation space; (2) provision for a music corner; (3) addition of new compact shelving; (4) widening of the walking passage to achieve better circulation; (5) reorganization of the collections and facilities to maximize the view; (6) inclusion of study clusters inside the shelving areas; (7) re-location of barrier free facilities and services for better positioning.

During the renovation period, the entire 2/F, including the College Archive, will be closed for building work. Part of the 1/F reading areas will also be cordoned off to facilitate temporary storage of materials.

In the continued effort to serve our library users, the Library will remain open during summer. Users are welcome to use the G/F and part of the 1/F areas. The existing Instructional Materials Collection (IMC) for Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary Textbooks will be moved from 2/F to LG/F. Besides, library staff will provide a retrieval service for items in temporary storage. The items will be collected from the G/F Help Counter. Moreover, Late Reading Room will be temporarily closed until 31 August 2019.

For further inquiry on the renovation of the Chung Chi College Elisabeth Luce Moore Library, please contact the Library staff. Renovation progress will be posted in due course on the library website.

每當到眾志堂用餐，大家有否留意到膳堂後方草坪上

的露天廣場「暉社台」？會否好奇為何有一石階台在

那裡呢？

這是由暉社同學（一九七四年畢業班學生）於

一九七三年建設，作為贈予母校的畢業禮物。其時學

生運動風行，為表示對勞動階級的敬意，暉社同學決

定自己親手動工，一手一腳包辦策劃、設計、採購和

建築等工序，學院則提供資助以購買材料。興建工作

用了約三個月時間完成，一九七四年一月正式開幕。

當年崇基學生會亦送上一塊刻有「勞動光榮」的石碑，

紀念暉社的工作和表揚勞動階級對社會的貢獻。

二○一八年十月底校慶期間，多名暉社海內外校友更

自發翻新「暉社台」題名基石，使之歷久常新！

Have you noticed an outdoor stage on the lawn at the back of Chung Chi Tang? Have you ever wondered why there is a stage?

It was built by the Class of 1974 as a graduation gift to the College. At that time, student movements were at their height. As a tribute to the working class, the Class of 1974 chose to build the stage themselves. They took care of all the necessary steps, from planning, blueprint drawing to procurement and construction. The College provided financial aid for materials purchases. After about three months of hard working, the stage was opened in January 1974. The Student Union donated the stele, carved with “labour glory” in Chinese, to commemorate the effort of the Class and pay tribute to the working class for their contribution to society.

During the Founders’ Day of the College in the late October 2018, local and overseas alumni of the Class of 1974 returned to their alma mater to clean and repaint the stage, bringing it a refreshing look!
