In May, the senior students at Blackwell High School participated in mock interviews at Sweetwater High School, arranged by the Sweetwater Enterprise forEconomic Development (SEED). The students had to dress appropriately and be prepared with a completed application and an updated resume. The mock interviews were given by numerous executives from various organizations in the Sweetwater area. The students received a detailed grading criteria afterward and were presented with a grade for their interview performance.

Abby Gott (left) and Halee Sanderson (right) were recently awarded by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Gott was awarded the Excellence in History Award for maintaining the highest grade point average in social studies throughout her high school career. Sanderson was chosen for the DAR Good Citizen Award for demonstrating qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism while attending Blackwell High School.
