Once again, I would like to thank all ofthe leaders within ISA’s District 11specifically for volunteering their time andeffort into making ISA the prestigious andprofessional organization that it is. Histori-cally District 11 is among the strongestdistricts in the society. Without you ISAwould not be what it is. Every year theleaders within ISA coordinate monthlymeetings, golf tournaments, table topshows, scholarships for students, educa-tional seminars, Christmas parties, socialevents that promote exchange of ideas andmethodologies and among other thingscreate relationships that develop as we agein the automation industry. We begin torealize that the automation world is smallerthan we thought before we joined ISA. Inmy mind this is one of the greatest assets toISA and automation, the people.

ISA election results announcedhearty congratulations to those who have beenelected to serve the Society. I want to also personally thank each of youwho took time to cast a ballot. Data compiled by Survey and BallotSystems, a company that has been conductingonline elections for 20+ years, indicates thatsocieties with membership between 15,000-33,999 conducting an online election typicallyhave a response rate under 10%. I am pleased to report that the participationrate for our election was 6.89%, which alignswith this benchmark. This is especially positivesince this is our first direct election and theelection process was online. In addition, 91.7% of the voters indicatedthey were very satisfied or satisfied with theexperience with only 1.6% indicating they weredissatisfied or very dissatisfied. I would like to thank those of you whoprovided specific feedback. Your input will helpus make improvements to our process. I look forward to greater participation infuture years as we continue to improve the votingexperience and raise awareness of this votingprocess.
