NAUTICAL NOTES The purpose of Lake Murray Elementary School is to educate, empower, and encourage students in a safe and nurturing environment. October 2015 Volume 1, Issue 2 Yearbooks Yearbooks will go on sale beginning October 1st. An order form will be sent home with your child. The cost is $30. Fall Festival Mark your calendars for our annual Fall Festival on Friday, October 30th. We will have games and food from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Parent Teacher Conferences Parent-Teacher conferences will be held in October. Many teachers have already begun holding conferences. Your child's teacher will be contacting you to set up a time to meet. Picture Day Fall picture day is October 1st. Be sure to wear your best smile. Walk to School Day October 22nd is National Walk to School Day. Students will walk for 30 minutes during their related arts time, allowing every student to walk regardless of where they live. Career Vehicle Day Does your job involve the use of an interesting vehicle? Or, do you know someone who has a job that does? If so, please consider signing up for our Career Vehicle Day for our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students on October 8th from 8-11 a.m. For more information, please visit the LMES website or contact Gwen Sitsch, school counselor, at 476-4605 or [email protected].
