Criminal Justice Volunteers Needed!Do you need volunteer service/hours to add to your resume or for your Police Academy/job application?
I need several volunteers to assist me in provide safety and security services for an event this Saturday,
October 26th from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the Boy Scout Service Center in Walker, MI.
Event: Grand opening of Adventure Point at the Boy Scouts
Service Center. Adventure Point is an outdoor adventure
area that includes:
Zipline
Obstacle Course
Yurt Camping Village and Campground
Climbing Tower
Rappelling Wall
Shooting Sports Pavilion
30+ acres of Beautiful Wooded Trails along Mill Creek
Outdoor Cooking and Fire Building
AP Mobile Adventure Lab
GaGa Pit

Job Type Full time, 40 hours/week
Job Summary The Executive Assistant for Legal Services will perform individual tasks and work with several
attorneys in the Office of Legal Counsel. This position will oversee several recurring tasks, including the
processing of extradition requests, clemency applications, and executive orders and directives. In addition,
this position will also help track legislation and assist with other discrete projects as they arise. Important
qualities for this position include a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to meet
deadlines.
Qualifications Legal assistant or paralegal training preferred, but not required.
Salary Range $55,000 - $72,500/year

Hikone, Japan - We will explore the criminal justice system and Japanese culture that keeps Japan one of the safest countries in the world. We will learn Japanese culture and history in the classroom, and through cultural events and field trips to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima. We will visit various criminal justice entities, including policing organizations, courts, a prison, and a juvenile detention center (subject to availability).
No Japanese language skills required. Open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Are you interested in corrections or learning more about the criminal
justice system in an unorthodox environment? If so, CJ 360: The
Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program might be the class for you!
Program Requirements:
CJ Major or Minor
Strong preference given to students with a 2.8 GPA or above
Must have taken CJ 101 and CJ 201

AND MENTORINGThis is to let you know that I have volunteered to help out with
tutoring and mentoring needs for the School of Criminal
Justice. My name is Dick Grossenbacher. I am a retired Special
Agent of the U.S. Secret Service (29 years) and after
retirement was honored to serve among you as a GVSU criminal
justice adjunct instructor for 17 years. While I am anticipating
the demand to come mostly from 101 students, I am available for
any students that need some extra help. You or your student
