We hope that this day will be a happy opportunity for parents to be involved as well in our own larger organ project: the refurbishment of the Temple Church Organ. We are on the home straight, and with the help of our generous friends

we aim to raise the last tranche of the money we need this autumn.

We will end the afternoon with some seasonal sparklers in Church Court.

We look forward to seeing you then!

SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE TEMPLE CHURCH

You will recognise how generously the Inns maintain the Temple Church and its music. For one example:- the school-education of our choristers (quite apart from the musical training they receive here from our own musicians) now costs the Inns over £100,000 per year. We certainly hope that the congregation is as proud as the Inns themselves of the boys’ achievement.

For the successful running of the Church we depend increasingly on the collections taken at services and on benefactions. If you pay UK income tax or capital gains tax (whether or not you are a UK resident), it is of great advantage to the Church if you kindly make any contribution through Gift Aid.

One-off Gifts: Envelopes. We invite you to use the envelope, provided in the pews, on which you should state your name and address and sign and date the declaration.

Regular Giving: Envelopes and Standing-Orders. The verger has a form of declaration to cover all future donations. Each form bears a contributor’s number; you need then only enter this on any envelope you use for your gift. The verger is John Shearer, [email protected], 020 7353 3470.

THE ORGAN FUND The biggest task we are presently facing is the complete clean and refurbishment of the Church’s magnificent organ, an essential and expensive undertaking which will ensure that the majestic voice of the organ continues at the heart of our music for the next fifty years and onward. We are touched and heartened that now, in early Autumn 2012, the pledges and donations exceed £677,500 of the £750,000 to be raised. All further support will be warmly welcomed; the work is being undertaken until Easter 2013. This note comes with many thanks to those in the Inns and in our congregation who already support us with immense generosity. The Revd Robin Griffith-Jones, Penny Jonas Master Development Consultant [email protected] [email protected]
