March: new AVC section regrouping:• Audiovisual activities• Videoconferencing activities• Webcasting• Event management softwares (CDS Agenda, Indico)• Other collaboration tools (email; instant messaging;
network; VoIP; phone conferencing ) in separate sections with specialised skills, but close collaboration

August: • SMAC prototype installed – centralised infrastructure
for automating the recording of lectures in CERN conference rooms
• Consolidation on one event management tool: CDS Agenda->Indico migration started
• Webcast possible in Council Chamber and IT Auditorium in addition to Main Auditorium – Portable AV production+webcasting equipment purchased

November: • New MCU service starts hosted by the Lyon IN2P3
centre de calcul. Collaboration between IN2P3, CNRS, INSERM and CERN – 2 Codian MCUs (total 52 ports) + 1 ISDN gateway
