    rom the Pastor

reetings Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

As summer becomes the eventide, I pray that you enjoy the beauty of God's creation in the

    anging of the season.

Change can bring about much anticipated anxiety, especially in the Church. I believe that

esponse is evident in the decisions we make or don't make. However, our congregation has

oved to the position that even though we have fears we also have faith and that allows us to

ove forward. We have had incredible changes that required us to let go of what had always

een done to what has never been done. This freedom has allowed us to move out of the

arrow thinking to a greater span of possibilities. It is because your faith is greater than your

fear. I continue to urge this congregation to experience change with an open heart and mind.

I would like to approach the subject of sharing on Social media. Like any source of

ommunication it can be used to generate communication which is good but, it can always be

sed to direct the reader into areas that are not appropriate. Therefore, what is shared on our

ebpage and Facebook will only be announcements, sharing of ministries, or sharing of faith

tories and events. We will not use either media sources to discuss confidential issues that

appen within our community and beyond.

I am going to suggest that when we are encountering difficult situations or disagreements with

ur local communities, including businesses, hospitals, etc. to be a positive influence of Justice

    Grace.

Social media can be used like a double edged sword and we do not want to be the

nes holding it. There are other avenues you can take to resolve issues without posting the

nadequacy of them on social media.

Some may be thinking alright who posted something on Facebook that wasn't appropriate?

My response would be no one that immediately comes to my mind however, I am writing in

response to what I have recently read in general.

As with any new invention or change there comes ways of using it for the positive and the

negative. I bring this to your attention so that you know where we stand as a community of fait

n this issue. We have not had to think about this in the past however, with the change in med

nd sharing knowledge that spreads with such a high rate of speed, we need to respond to it as

community of Christ. Therefore, I am writing this message to you as a guideline.

Always remember your baptismal call, Let your light so shine before others that they may se

our good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

    Yours in the Lord's service,

    :P~~.J-
