National Energy Conservation Award 2017 by Hon'ble President of India

Hon'ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind awarded the “National Energy Conservation Award -2017” to MD REIL at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 14.12.2017, in recognition to REIL's efforts in Energy Conservation in Office & BPO Building Category.

“The National Energy Conservation Award (NECA) 2017” is a result of saving approximately 1 lakh unit of Electricity in the year 2016-17 in office building and manufacturing areas as compared to the year 2015-16. This has been achieved by replacing the existing manufacturing equipment with energy efficient equipment and introducing improvement in methods of manufacturing process and in office areas, to save electricity.

On this occasion Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K. Singh, Secretary (MNRE), Shri Anand Kumar, Secretary (Power), Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, and other eminent dignitaries were also present.

In continuation to its efforts towards environmental initiatives, the mobile app (CPUCC) and website (https://rajasthanpuc.in), developed by REIL, as per Rajasthan Motor-vehicle Pollution Testing Center Scheme (Online) – 2017 was inaugurated by Shri Yunus Khan, Hon'ble Minister, Public Works and Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan, during the quarter. REIL, on the initiative of Government of India and Government of Rajasthan, has presented this full-proof solution for the monitoring of PUC Centers through central software and server. This solution will certainly result into a remarkable decrease in overall vehicular pollution and ensure the way for a clean and healthy environment for the future generations.

Dairy Electronics

The Company through its

assiduous efforts has received

major orders about 1200 nos. for

AMCU, DPMCU and GPRS based

DPU from milk co-operatives of

Gujarat North Region, Uttar

Pradesh and Rajasthan that will be

benefiting over 1 Lakh people and

also deployed 500 numbers of

DPMCU(s) and AMCU(s) in

Jharkhand and West Bengal during

the quarter.

transparency in raw milk testing

Digitization-other initiatives

Providing online solutions for its

products/projects is another vital

area of REIL, wherein it's IT

division has done digitization of

over 55000 examination forms of

Rajasthan State Open School;

provided the services as state level

agency to Election Department,

Rajasthan for 4.67 Crore voters

data for 200 assembly

constituencies; order for design,

development & implementation of

online web-based application from

Directorate of Gopalan,

Government of Rajasthan.

Renewable Energy

To ensure clean, safe drinking

water for children in school, the

Company will deploy 1.1 kWp Solar

RO water systems under UPNEDA

initiative, in 581 primary schools in

villages covering 5 districts of Uttar

Pradesh that shall be benefiting

over 80,000 children.

It also received another order for

supply, installation and

commissioning of 1200 numbers of

SPV Power packs of 250 Wp to be

deployed in un-electrified villages

of Uttar Pradesh under Pandit

Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti

Yojana. Beneficiaries will be

provided with 5 LED Lights and

one DC Fan.

REIL received orders and

successfully deployed Solar PV

Water Pumping Systems in the

forest area for availability of

drinking water for animals and

forest staff posted in various

chowkis.

Under PSU synergy and to address

community lighting, over 3000 SPV

based LED Street Lighting

Systems have been deployed in far

flung areas of Jharkhand, Bihar,

UP, Haryana and Rajasthan, thus

ensuring safety and security in

MoU between REIL & Sygenta

The Ministry of Urban

Development is evaluating the

cleanliness of cities and releasing

the Swachh Survekshan ranking

These SLS will be supplied as a part

of CSR activity of Sygenta for

energy security in nearly

150 villages of Pali district.

CPSE(s) continued to have faith in

REIL for execution of their CSR

projects hence REIL received

orders for about 2500 nos. SLS and

also signed MoU with Airport

authority of India (AAI) for

providing SPV Power packs in

various government schools in

Ajmer.

for EESL has successfully installed

16300 Nos. LED lights under

Street Light National Program

(SLNP) during the quarter. The

cumulative figure has reached up to

2.94 Lakh lights in 17 ULBs of

Rajasthan namely Ajmer, Bikaner,

Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Alwar,

Pushkar, Churu, Sawaimadhopur,

Pali, Mount Abu, Baran,

Ratangarh, Ratannagar, Bhiwadi,

National Focal Points (NFP) from International Solar Alliance Member Countries @ REIL

During the quarter, National Focal Points (NFP) from International Solar Alliance (ISA) of 20 member countries along with officials of Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy visited REIL premises. The Company shared work done and its commitment to climate change and prevailing environmental issues globally and assured them of providing necessary resources and technical expertise and shall implement similar projects in rural areas of their respective countries. ISA will open market for 2.5 lakh solar pumps and other systems.

Redefining the role of CPSEs- Full day workshop by D/o Public Enterprises (DPE)MD REIL along with other government officials attended a day long workshop organized by DPE on 06.11.2017 at India Habitat Center, New Delhi. The workshop was organized to deliberate and discuss regarding re-defining the role of CPSEs that would facilitate in finalizing the agenda for proposed CPSEs Conclave with Hon'ble PM. Different sessions that covered Human Resources Management Strategies, Promoting Innovations, R&D and Technology and Restructuring the Financial Architecture in CPSE(s) were organized during the workshop.

Intersolar India 2017REIL actively participated in the Intersolar India 2017, India's largest Exhibition and conference for the Solar Industry during 05.12.2017 to 07.12.2017 at Mumbai. The Company shared its vast experience in SPV segment during the exhibition.

MD REIL delivered a talk on Agro-PV innovations : A step towards Doubling Farmer's Income. He emphasized that India must exploit the potential of this decentralized technology to achieve the dual national targets of 100 GW of solar and doubling farmer's income by 2022 — setting a world-class example of greening the economy and overcoming its developmental challenges, simultaneously.

th5 Agri-Horti Tech Summit

thThe Company actively participated in 5 Agri-Horti Tech Summit during 12.12.2017 to 14.12.2017 at Lucknow organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce, aimed to educate farmers about new technology in agriculture and horticulture. The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Agriculture Minister of Bihar, Dr. Prem Kumar.

MD REIL shared his views on “Doubling Farmer's Income by 2022” and new ideas for the welfare of the farmers. REIL effectively displayed its product range and innovations at its stall as a result it got the Best Farmer Information Stall Award during the exhibition.
