Our Fleet Services shows a GGFD inventory of 13 heavy apparatus (engines/trucks/OES) and 16 light vehicles. Does that sound accurate? OCFA Fleet Services will have four mechanics on site, two for heavy vehicles (engines/trucks) and two for light vehicles (light air/paramedic squads/pickups etc.). GGFD has 12 heavy vehicles and approximately 10 light vehicles. The schedule below allows for a one hour inspecon of the vehicles as they are rotated through. The original plan was to schedule the inspecons over a three day period but it has been determined that all three days are not needed so the assessment will begin Tuesday morning. Chief, Bill:Just FYI. I was contacted late yesterday afternoon by Eddie Manfro, City Manager, Westminster, indicating that he was looking into alternatives to fire service in their city. As you know, theOrange County Fire Authority currently provides service to Westminster. He communicated that asan adjacent city with its own fire department, he would like to meet with me and our Fire Chief todiscuss the possibility of Garden Grove providing fire service to Westminster. He also wants tohave similar discussions with the cities of Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach. Mr. Manfro isaware that our situation is a bit more complicated, in that we are currently awaiting a bid for fireservice from OCFA, and that the other two cities are not. I can only assume that the city ofWestminster is trying to look at their cost of services, and trying to determine if there is any

benefit to receiving service from one of the three adjacent cities. For the purpose of fulltransparency, I have also notified the City Council that Mr. Manfro has reached out to me. On anunrelated note, OCFA is still scheduled to submit their proposal to us at the end of February-earlyMarch, although I understand that the process to select their new Fire Chief may delay themslightly.(?) We are still full speed ahead on our work with OCFA.

Chief: keep Bill and I updated on anything you hear regarding OCFA's proposal delivery schedule. Also, feel free to share this with retired AC Kramer and/or BC Phoenix, but they may already beaware of Westminster's outreach.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks.

Patrick,

I hope all is well,

I'm sure you may already be aware of this development but I want to make sure you are in theloop and hear it from me. The City of Westminster has contacted the Garden Grove CM asking ifwe could develop a proposal for providing Fire Services. In addition I believe Huntington Beachand Fountain Valley have also been contacted . City and fire staff are evaluating this requested .This request will have no impact on the FSP process currently happening with OCFA.

Please let me know if you have any questions, Tom

Chief Whiaker,

Two things:

1) Heads up only, our IT is going to contact Noel from Garden Grove IT to ask some follow up ques$ons

regarding GGFD special area maps. Specifically, how they are accessed and/or how they can imported or

converted to what is compa$ble with the OCFA.

2) Do you know who the GGFD uniform vendor is? Russ Snider from the OCFA Service Center would like to

contact them to ask ques$ons about GGFD dress uniform specifics.

Patrick, I hope all is well, I'm sure you may already be aware of this development but I want to make sure you are in theloop and hear it from me.

I can only assume that the city ofWestminster is trying to look at their cost of services, and trying to determine if there is anybenefit to receiving service from one of the three adjacent cities.

Thanks.

Brad,

E1 just returned last night, so whenever you want to set that up let me know. It sounds like E22 isgoing to be down for awhile. You may have to go out to Mira Loma if you want to take a look.

Thanks

Chief Whittaker,

Still tying up a couple of loose ends. Is there a good time to take a look at the remaining twoGGFD engines (Unit 820, E1 and Unit 354, E22)? I believe one was assigned to Montecito andthe other may still be out of county undergoing repairs.

One Finance question:

1) What is the annual cost and length of time to pay down the firefighters’ UAAL with CalPERS?

The City’s report from PERS encompasses all of public safety, and they are unable to break out the firefighters’ costs. The City has requested a report for solely the firefighters’ costs, but is unsure of the timeframe for receiving this report.

Finance awareness only for GGFD/City of Garden Grove:

1) Fire Prevention fees‐ Is the city aware that they will in essence adopt our fee structure and we will receive the revenue ?

2) Ambulance revenue‐ Is the city aware that they will no longer receive the revenue for and medical supply or ALS pass through from CARE ?

Hi Jennifer,Disregard my last phone call, I was looking at Huntington's fee schedule. There is no agencyidentifier on it and it was mixed into my OCFA documents. Are the fees for inspections done byoperations the same as the fees for inspections done by CRR?Thanks
