OCCUPATIONAL TENDENCY DETERMINATION CHART WHY AND WHEN TO USE : It is used for helping students to realize their interests and desires and determine which professions they are predisposed to. It would be appropriate to apply it before preparing routing proposal at the eighth grade. TO WHOM AND HOW TO APPLY: It can be applied for the seventh and especially eighth grade. It is applied by school counselors or class guidance teachers. Test are distributed to students and they read the directives and apply them. Because it is quite easy to apply and evaluate the students can apply and evaluate it themselves. HOW IS IT EVALUATED AND INTERPRETED :Each column in the answer chart belongs to an occupational group. -The digits which are marked worth 10 points the sum of these points are written under each column. -According to the points taken student’s interest and proximity in a occupational group is evaluated according to the fallowing score range indicators. -Occupational group in the answer chart column which is composed of professionals is included in the list of “Occupational Groups” If your score is 000-040: You have no interest in these professions. If your score is 040-080: You have interest but not enough for you to choose these professions. If your score is 080-100: You have an interest in these professions but consider once again before choosing. If your score is 100-130: Normal , you can choose these professions. EXPLANATION: This is an interest inventory. Interest inventories are usually prepared for measuring individuals interest to business , professions and various social and cultural activities. Because this inventory is not a test aimed to evaluate you there is no predetermined right or wrong answers. Every answer that reflects your interests and your requests is valid.
