HOTEL CALIFORNIA THE ORIGINAL EAGLES TRIBUTE BAND
In five short years – from 1997 to 2002 – 98° sold a staggering 10
million records, scored a chart-topping single, “Thank God
I Found You,” with Mariah Carey and Joe, and collaborated with
their collective idol, Stevie Wonder, on “True to Your Heart,” for
the 1998 animated Disney film, Mulan. Their four-million- selling
album, 98° and Rising (1998, Motown), spawned the top-5 favorites
“Because of You,” “I Do,” and “The Hardest Thing,” while
2000’s
Revelation (Universal Records), which sold two million copies,
peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and yielded a trio of hits,
“Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche),” “My Everything,” and “The Way
You Want Me To.”
The group emerged at a time when teen-oriented acts such as the
Spice Girls, The Backstreet Boys, and NSYNC were just hitting the
top of the charts around the world. They differentiated themselves
from many of the other teen bands at the time as they wrote much of
their own material, which reflected their own R&B
influences.
The quartet released their first full-length Christmas album in 18
years, Let It Snow, via UMe to glowing reviews from both fans and
critics alike. The album featured the group’s signature
R&B-tinged, four-part harmonies. Get down to the Lake, don’t
miss the fun, and celebrate those harmonies with the boys in the
band!

For almost three decades HOTEL CALIFORNIA has been recreating the
legendary sound of THE EAGLES, and thrilling audiences all over the
world. The band set the bar in 1986, and they’ve remained the
industry leading
substitute for The Eagles ever since. Playing to huge outdoor and
arena audiences, sharing bills with some of rock’s legends, and
going places no tribute band has gone before. A long run by any
measure, but it begs the question – what makes Hotel California so
special? Well, incredible lead vocal similarity, intensely accurate
instrumental work, soaring harmonies, and topflight live
performances, just for starters. These are the band’s hallmarks,
and the foundation on which their reputation has been built. With
over a century of collective professional experience in the band
today, they’re still going stronger than ever!
Hotel California’s show has evolved into a masterful celebration of
The Eagles’ music. One of the most game-changing song catalogs in
the history of rock n’ roll is performed to perfection before your
eyes and ears. If you love The Eagles, then welcome to the Hotel
California – you’ve just found the next-best thing.

blankets, LMVA would like to remind members that water-proof, sand-
proof, and unbreathable blankets and tarps are not permitted on the
concert bowl grass. Tarps and blankets with waterproofing membrane
can cause a greenhouse effect which heats the grass and causes
damage.
LMVA rules state: “Use small blankets and towels” to allow for
concert bowl seating for everyone.
Improper type blankets or oversized blankets in excess of 100
square feet will be removed or folded down.

LMVA delegates are needed! The list of delegates adjacent to this
article represents the current delegates for all districts in LMVA.
If you would like to serve as an LMVA District Delegate, please
contact LMVA’s HOA Specialist, Julia Ruste at (949) 770-1313, ext.
232 for more information.
Was there a ballot included in your assessment bill this past June?
Ballots are mailed to facilitate the LMVA election of Non-Sub
District Delegates, which takes place in October. The annual
Delegate Elections are scheduled for Wednesday, October 6th. If we
do not receive the number of votes needed to reach quorum on the
first attempt, a second attempt will be made on October 13th. If
you do not plan to attend the election proceedings in person,
please complete the ballot and mail it back to LMVA. If you cannot
locate your ballot, they are also available at the LMVA
administrative offices.
Whether you support a current Delegate for your district or wish to
vote for a replacement in an empty district, please note that there
is a 25% quorum requirement to hold a District Delegate election.
Please select one of the following options when completing your
ballot:
1. Write-in Candidate.
2. Abstain / Ballot to be counted to quorum purposes only.
LMVA members living in “sub-associations” do not receive ballots.
These sub-associations elect their LMVA District Delegate at their
Board of Directors meetings as required by the sub-association’s
governing documents. For more information about elections for your
District Delegate, contact your homeowner’s association Board of
Directors.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION
Once again the annual process of electing members to the LMVA Board
of Directors is upon us. Interested LMVA members are encouraged to
follow procedures outlined below to obtain a leadership role and
become active in the LMVA community.
The Lake Mission Viejo Association Annual Election process began on
Monday, August 2nd when Board of Directors Candidate Declaration
forms were made available to prospective Board Candidates. The
deadline for submission is Monday, September 27th at 5:00 pm. All
potential Candidates must fill out the “Declaration of Candidacy”
application form. Candidate Declaration forms can be picked up at
the LMVA administrative offices or downloaded from
LakeMissionViejo.org. Candidates for the Board must meet the
requirements as outlined in the Election rules. Once the potential
candidate has been determined to be qualified and meets the
requirements stated in the Election Rules, they may be considered a
“Candidate” for the Board of Directors’ Election.
The Annual Meeting of the Delegates and Board of Directors Election
on October 27th will start with a Social Hour at 6:00 pm, followed
by the election at 7:00 pm.
Two Board positions are up for election in 2021. A quorum of
District Delegates representing twenty- five percent (25%) of the
membership is required to conduct the election. The District
Delegates will cast votes to elect two Board positions.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Early Birds Get a Favorite Spot! Optimize your chances of getting a
good seat at LMV’s summer concerts by participating in the Concert
Lottery.
The entrance gate to the North Beach facility will open at 6 am
specifically for the Concert Lottery. Access to the Concert Bowl
area will commence no sooner than 6:30 am. Actual start time will
vary depending on crowd size. Members accessing the facility by car
will be allowed to park in the Fisherman’s parking lot and assemble
in the Administration lot along with the pedestrian traffic prior
to 6:30 am. Members arriving by boat will be permitted to tie up
for the lottery only on the “long” launch ramp dock. Access to the
Concert Bowl area will be conducted by a lottery style system;
therefore there is no advantage to lining up outside the gate prior
to 6:00 am.
1. Members only! You must show your valid and current LMVA ID badge
to receive a wristband.
2. Randomly numbered wristbands will be distributed upon the
opening of the facility.
3. Wristband pick-up will be at designated locations in the main
parking lot.
4. One wristband per person. It must be attached and worn.
5. Distribution will continue until designated time.
6. One blanket per person for the initial entrance into the bowl.
Chairs will not be allowed until after the initial entrance process
is complete.
7. At a designated time, randomly selected groups of numbers will
be called. Once called, members will proceed to a holding area.
Wristbands will be verified and then the group will be allowed to
set up in the park.
8. This process continues until all groups have been called.
9. At the conclusion of the set-up process, the park will open for
general use and chairs may be brought in at this time. Chairs
abandoned along the sidewalks adjacent to the North Beach facility
entrance will be
confiscated.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping to make
access to LMVA concerts a safe and pleasant experience for members
and guests alike. For updates call the Concert Hotline at (949)
770-1313, select option 8.
Your Lake membership badge is your access to visit the Lake. It
doesn’t matter if it is your first visit in a long time or if yours
is a familiar face at the front gates; your LMVA membership picture
ID badge is required to gain entrance. Not only does this special
card allow you access into the facilities and boat rentals, it also
serves as your free ticket to all of our great concerts and events
each season. Please remember that all concert lottery attendees
must present a valid membership ID badge in order to take part in
the concert seating lottery.
LMVA’s ID badge references both the property as well as the
individual through a barcode system and is issued to all members
eight years old and up.
All members are required to show their membership ID badges when
entering the facilities. If you arrive at the gate without it, you
will be turned away.
A member who has lost or misplaced his/her ID badge but has other
identification proving residency (i.e., Driver’s License) can
purchase a temporary pass for $10 at the Gate. This pass is good
for ten days and can be exchanged for a new ID badge at the
Membership Office if you cannot locate your original badge. A
refund of the temporary pass fee can be obtained if you find your
original badge and bring it to the Membership Office within ten
days. Call (949) 770-1313, ext. 212, to schedule an appointment
with Membership Services or to check whether your Lake ID is still
valid.
Make sure you always have your membership ID badge readily
available when approaching the friendly staff at the LMVA gates or
within the park facilities.
The Board of Directors and Management would like to thank members
for their efforts to help make LMV a safe and secure
environment.
