Linguistic

Go over the verbal explanation of the concept such as the following:

Integers are the class of numbers that are like Natural numbers, but Integers include the set of negative numbers and zero.

Rational numbers are numbers that are written in the form of a/b

All Integers can be written as Rational numbers, but not all Rational numbers are Integers.

Bodily-Kinesthetic

Give students papers with numbers and math symbols on them and then have the students model equations like 3=3/1 or 2/3=4/6 using the signs in the front of the room.

Musical

Show a video to review the different sets of numbers and introduce the concept of rational numbers.

Logical-Mathematical/Interpersonal

Have the students get into groups and work on a worksheet that reviews the concept and has the students go through problems.

The students then review the answers with other groups in the room.

Intrapersonal

Have students draw a picture the represents what they feel the concept means to them and how they visualize it.

Naturalist

Give the class word problems that involve plants, animals, and other economical concepts.
