DAY 1READ Genesis 6:5-8When you’re the only one who obeys, sometimes it can feel pretty lonely. Noah must have felt very alone. It’s easy to imagine that all of his neighbors and friends laughed as he obeyed God’s strange demands to build an ark. If you’ve ever been the only one who couldn’t go to a certain movie or buy some type of clothes or a video game, you might understand a little bit of how Noah felt. But think about the end result—God kept Noah safe! Most of the time when adults say “No,” they want to protect you. Think through each situation below and imagine what good could come out of obeying.

THANK God for His commands that keep you safe and prove He loves you!

READ Psalm 1:1-2 Sometimes you can feel like a rubber band, stretched and pulled in opposite directions. There are the things your friends or siblings want you to do, which sometimes are okay, but sometimes they seem directly opposite of what you know God or your parents want you to do. One of the best ways that you can prepare yourself to make the wise choice is to spend time reading the Bible and talking with God in prayer. It will help you know what to do and to have His strength to follow through.

ASK God to give you a hunger for His approval instead of the approval of those around you.
