Anotace

Tento celek je pokračováním předchozí lekce o řeči těla – zmiňuje úsměv, hlasitý smích, gesta paží, rukou a uvádíme příklady interkulturních rozdílů v podávání rukou a líbání při uvítání.

Laugh1980 in the USA:Dr. Patch Adams established „laugh rooms“ in American hospitals:

- he equipped them with books with jokes, comedy films, videos and

comedian shows- the patients came into and spent 30-60

minuts every day- the results were surprising and

miraculous –their health improved rapidly

SmileAccording to psychological research: Women smile at attractive men much

more often than at men who they are not interested in.

Women feel attracted by men with a good sense of humour

Both laugh and smile influence our lives, health and relationships very deeply

Gestures - fearWhen a small child is afraid of something – he/she hides – under the table, behind mom’s skirt

An adult in the same situation - ?- crosses hands and legs to protect

himself/herself- (maybe trying to protect his vitally

important life organs?)

Gestures – crossed armsMay be a sign of being coldFeeling comfortableBut in general – it is accepted as a negative

gesture of defence, you feel threatened

arms crossed it is high time to change a strategy - he is negative - he doesn’t agree with what you are saying a skilful tradesman unblock partner’s hands by passing him a cup of coffee, a sheet of paper

Gestures - handsSituation: you are in a group of unknown people, you feel uncomfortable – take something into your hand – you will feel much better:- When sitting – a pencil, some document- When standing – a handbag, a bouquet of

flowers, a glass of wine you will make a barrier to protect yourself

Gestures - handsResults of research: Touching your partner’s hand or elbow influences deeply the opinion which is formingIn the restaurant – a waitress touches your hand

when passing a change tips were higher by 36%

BUT: be careful of intercultural differences !(The British, the Germans feel very strong about it)
