The husband and wife team of Jennifer and Miles Holtzman have parlayed their playful luxury lifestyle, travel, and entertaining blog into print. They’ve taken their love of Old Town and all this spectacular seaport city has to offer and launched Old Town Post into books in 2020.

Most people know that we’re a town rich in history but people may not know that many of our historic properties are actually charities that rely on fundraising to keep them museum-worthy. We’ve partnered with the Historic Alexandria Foundation, Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden, and Carlyle House. This is going to bring readers some really special content and aid in the historic sites exposure and fundraising.

Alexandria, Virginia is the third oldest seaport town in the United States and was actually founded almost three decades before the United States of America. Makes sense, right? Since much of the strategy and planning for the Revolutionary War took place right here in Alexandria.
Now Old Town, Alexandria, has become the Washington, DC area’s most charming historic location marrying the port city’s antique charm with classic and contemporary comforts. Alexandria showcases chef driven restaurants, locally-owned boutiques, world class salons, luxury hotels, and pampering spas that locals (+ visitors) enjoy throughout the year.
You know one of the funny little secrets about Old Town? We’re actually just a really fabulous small town with a lot of visitors. Like any small town, we have our share of parades and festivals that neighborhood folks (and people from all over the world) come to experience. People line the streets of our fabulous port city to watch parades filled with bagpipes, dancers, funny little cars, dignitaries, and more. Along the waterfront, people gather for fellowship at our town’s many riverside festivals or to relax and watch the Potomac and her beautiful yachts and boats as they dance by our historic, charming, and affluent coastal town.
Our King Street is the areas only outdoor promenade that features magical twinkle lights adorning the antique treetops and an adorable trolley that will take you from the Metro to the Potomac, with plenty of stops for shopping, drinks, and dining along the way.
Old Town — and all the events, shoppes, restaurants, museums, and homes this charming coastal town has to offer not only attracts people from around the world but also from around the Beltway — which leads to regulars and repeat business of those living outside of the Old & Historic District but nearby. Both Old Town Alexandria and Old Town Post are designed to entertain, inspire, educate and allow locals to experience the Old Town lifestyle and all that our charming coastal town has to offer.
