【NOTE】

Please consider AC adapter [AD-C100] (sold separately) if you are planning to observe for a

long period of time.

2-3 Install remote shutter release to camera User’s Guide P91

Open the terminal cover and connect the remote shutter release plug to the USB/AV port.

2-4 Turn on the power and start shooting

2-4-1 Single shot.

* Zooming and white balance settings are the same for Movie shooting.

① Select [Single shot] on CS (continuous shutter) dial. User’s Guide P47

② When image shows up on LCD, rotate zoom controller clockwise until there will be no

vignette and stop. User’s Guide P40

③ Adjust white balance manually when colors of images shows up on the LCD and looks

select the forth control panel option from

the top ④[WB (white balance)].

(2) Use ← and → to select the Manual

WB [MWB]

(3) For vertical illumination microscope (industrial and stereo-microscope) ,under the lighting

condition you plan to use when shooting, point the camera at a blank white piece of paper

on the stage of microscope, so it fills the entire monitor screen

* For biological microscope, remove specimen before adjusting WB

(4) Press shutter button

(5) Press [set].

* Readjust WB when voltage setting was changed.

④ Shooting with remote shutter release User’s Guide P91

Half press the shutter button. Camera will adjust exposure and focus automatically.

Then press the shutter button the rest of

the way down.

2-4-2 High-speed continuous shot. User’s Guide P46 & 50

[Pre-record] In this mode, half pressing the shutter button

starts continual prerecording of images to a temporary

buffer. Then when you press the shutter button the rest of

the way down, camera stores prerecorded images and

performs continuous shutter recording of new images until

you releases the shutter button. Able to capture 1-60 shots starts to finish.

[High-Speed CS] This mode continues to shoot images as long as you keep the shutter

button depressed

2-4-3 Saving continuous shutter images. User’s Guide P58

◆ Continuous shutter precautions

・With continuous shutter, exposure and focus for the first image are applied for successive

images as well.

・If there is not enough available capacity on the memory card, you may not be able to

recode number of CS images indicated on the monitor screen. Make sure your memory card

has sufficient remaining capacity before shooting with using continuous shutter.

・Zoom is disabled during continuous shutter operation.

Ⅲ. Recording movies. User’s Guide P62

CASIO digital camera has three movie modes, each of which is described below. Before

recording, rotate the movie mode switch to select the mode that suite the type of subject you

are trying to record.

3-1 STD (standard mode)

Use this mode for standard movie recording. This is the mode you normally should use. In

this mode, recording is performed with an aspect ratio of 4:3, an image size of 640x480

pixels, and a frame rate of 30 frames per second.

Image quality and image size setting cannot be changed.

① Set the movie mode switch to [STD]

② Locking the auto exposure and auto focus setting User’s Guide P45

Pressing [AE-L/AF-L] while the shutter button is half-pressed will lock the current exposure

or focus setting.

③ In the REC mode, press [●] (movie)

This will start recording and display【REC】on the monitor screen.

* Remote shutter release can not be used with movie recording.

Press [●] again to stop recording.

3-2 HD (high- definition)

Use this mode to record high-definition movies.

The aspect ratio of movies recorded with this mode is 16:9 Users’ Guide P87

3-3 HS (high- speed)

Maximum 1200 fps high-speed movie can be acquired. However we recommend 300 fps for

microscope documentation since 1200 fps has narrower aspect with dark field of view.

Aspect ratio is dependent on frame rate. User’s Guide P88

【NOTE】

During high-speed movie recording, auto focus and exposure remain fixed at the levels they

were when you initially started recording. Zoom, back lighting correction, monitor screen

content switching, and AE Lock/AF Lock are all disabled.

To focus the image, half-press the shutter button for auto focus before starting the

high-speed movie recording operation..

Ⅳ. Viewing recorded images.
