The Main Screen;

From here you can launch the databases for the various tools (Ability, Berry, etc.)

Figure 1

Note:The Battle Chart feature is now technically obsolete, due to the Type Database, but we have left

this feature in here for purists.

Note:Unlike most of the other programs, Pokémon Database suffers from slowdown in certain ways;first load and first Pokémon click. This is due to the massive amount of information (over 17000lines of code at last count) it has to process and also because there are 386 Pokémon whichdoesn’t make it any easier.

Note: If the information in the Item Database, Move Database and Type Database isn’t 100%completed in this version then they may be in the next version. At the time of writing they werebeing put back till the other tools were finished.

What does the Program Suite do?

What exactly does the program suite do you ask? Well, you’ll see in just a minute… It can let you viewthe data on almost anything to do with the Pokémon GBA games. Examples include;

Ability Database: Allows you to view

details on all abilities that are available inthe games at the time of writing. Recentlyupdated due to the release of Emerald. Italso includes abilities that are nottechnically available by any means otherthan using a GameShark or other device.

o Depending on the version mode(Lacurio Mode (Diamond and Pearl)or Chimecho Mode (Ruby andSapphire)) the program may showdifferent things. By default it is set toChimecho Mode, you can change

the mode on the tools menu.  The Main Program: This launches the

other programs in the Program Suite, suchas the other on this list and the Registrationprogram. It also allows you to access thelittle sub windows quickly so you don’t haveto launch the windows they are normally associated with.

Battle Chart: Allows you to strategically plan Pokémon battles. Also handy for knowing yourand your foes weaknesses (Didn’t I just say that?) You should use this with the new TypeDatabase.

Berry Database: Allows you to view details on all berries that are available in the gamesincluding the ones that are only obtainable using the e-Reader device as well as PokéBlock

data. Recently updated due to the release of Emerald.o Depending on the version mode (Lacurio Mode (Diamond and Pearl) or Chimecho Mode

(Ruby and Sapphire)) the program may show different things. By default it is set toChimecho Mode, you can change the mode on the tools menu.

Item Database: Allows you to view data on any item in the games. It has been recently updateddue to the release of Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Unown Database: Allows you to view data on those mysterious shapes called Unown6. It hasbeen recently updated due to the release of Fire Red and Leaf Green.

These following tools have been created by MetalKid and have been added to the program, thesefeatures are incomplete at the time of writing and may have to be redesigned and rewritten;

Damage Calculator: Calculates damage. As the name suggests.   Experience Calculator: Calculates the experience that could be gained via battling a

Pokémon, also includes various modifiers. As the name suggests.   Hidden Power Calculator: Calculates the Power of the Hidden Power Pokémon move, for

additional information see the Move Database entry for Hidden Power. As the name suggests.   IV Calculator: This tool replaces the old IV Stat Calculator that was added in previous versions.

It works the same way, you put the information in and it will calculate the IV’s. As the namesuggests.

Statistic Calculator: Calculates Pokémon stats. As the name suggests.

6The mystery of the Unown still goes on…

Tutorial 2: Configuring

Want to make the program suite do something that it wouldn’t normally do? Here we have somethingthat could help you out! As always feel free to check the official forums for similar that or post questionsto the devs if you want.

The program has several ways to configure it, One way is to use the options dialog, as shown below;

Figure 10

These are the available options and what you can do with them;

• Add “Created By” comment to all saved files will add a comment to all exported files saying whocreated it and at what time it was created, as well as what version of the program did thecreating.

• Enable auto-update will check for updates on a user defined timetable. It will look for a file onthe server with a timestamp greater than the timestamp on the local program itself and attemptto download an update from the website or sourceforge. Only the update portion is currentlyavailable, The auto part is not yet implemented.

• Enable logging of events will log all events that occur in the nwpps2k6.log file, else it won’t.Errors are automatically logged in a different log file (nwpps2k6err) and this setting does noteffect them.

Note:At the current point in time all of these settings and more are available in the INI file, which youshould find on the next page.

Tutorial 2: Configuring

Another way is to use the INI file8;

8At the time of writing this INI file has gone through some changes and may not look like the above, If you are not

sure what an option does, do not edit it via the ini as you may cause errors,

There are times when you should save data. Because your currently searched Ability, Berry, Item,Move, Nature, Pokémon, Type or Unown is not kept too long in memory or the computer registry so it isvery wise to save as soon as you are able.

To save a record: o In the program of your choice click the “Export …” button (without the quotes). You

should get a message asking you to confirm. Click the OK button to confirm and theCancel button to cancel.

Each program saves it’s files with a .xml file extension, which can be opened with most browsers, XMLEditors or Microsoft Word.

Note:At time of writing this feature was not currently fully supported on any program other thanPokémon Database and may not be available as yet. It would be wise to check the release logs.

Frequently Asked Questions

This section lists the commonly asked questions and their answers.

Q. How many calculators are available?A. At the moment there are five, They have been contributed by MetalKid. All credit goes to him forthem...

Q. What do the calculators do?A. The calculators all do different things; One calculates damage; One calculates the experience youcan get from certain Pokémon; One calculates hidden power damage; One calculates statistics and thelast one calculates IV's...

Q. You've listed Ghost as a Physical attack. Why?A. The fact is, Ghost is based on the Physical Attack, and Dark is based on Special Attack (even if themove names are misleading, that is unfortunately the sad truth).Elemental types have no effect on the Physicality or Speciality of moves in Diamond and Pearl. Thisquestion is for the 3 generations prior.

Q. Is there anything special about Shiny Pokémon other than the colour?A. The only real difference between normal Pokémon and their shiny versions is the way they look.Shiny Pokémon are coloured differently. Other than that detail, they are exactly the same.

Q. What are Base Stats?A. Base stats are numbers that determine a Pokémon's general ability. Based on these numbers, thePokémon's stats will grow in a certain way and have a certain maximum value. The higher the base statis, the better the end result for that particular stat. If you are looking for a particular stat to have, It'smore than likely that anything over 100 will serve you well.

Q. What does STAB stand for?A. STAB stands for Same Type Attack Bonus. Let's take Slowbro for example. Its two elemental types

are Psychic and Water. If you were to use Thunderbolt, which is an electric move, it will do normaldamage to it. However, if you were to use surf, then the attack power is would be 95 * 1.5 = 142.5. Ifyou decide to use a move that is the same elemental type as your Pokémon is, the damage ismultiplied by 1.5x. So using Psychic with Slowbro would also result in 90 * 1.5 = 135 attack power.

Q. Does this program run on Vista and "Longhorn" Server?A. As far as we are aware it runs fine on Vista Beta 1, Beta 2, RC1, RC2 and RTM. We are not sureabout Longhorn server... But I see no reason why it shouldn't...

Q. What do RC and RTM stand for?A. RC stands for Release Candidate and RTM stands for Ready to Market OR Ready to Manufacture, depending on who you're talking to.

Q. I get an error message saying that the database 'timed out'. What gives?A. It seems that the program has taken too long trying to access the database. Please make sure youaren't performing any processor intensive tasks before trying again. This message will also appear ifyour computer has less than the minimum requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are the differences between physical attacks, special attacks, and stat changers?A. Physical Attacks are attacks with the types Normal, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Bug, Rock,Ghost, or Steel. The Physical Attack's power is based on an offending Pokémon's Attack Base Stat anda defending Pokémon's Defence Base Stat.

Special Attacks are attacks with the types Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Dragon, or Dark. The Special Attack's power are based on an offending Pokémon's Special Attack Base Stat and adefending Pokémon's Special Defence Base Stat.

Stat Changers are attacks that don't always cause damage. Instead they change the status of aPokémon. Attack's that causes sleep, poisons, paralyses, freezes, raises/lowers attack power are someexamples of stat changers.

Q. What are "RBY", "GSC" and "RuSaEm"?A. "RBY" is an abbreviation of the Red, Blue, Yellow games. "GSC" is an abbreviation of the Gold,Silver, Crystal games and "RuSaEm" is an abbreviation of the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald games.

Q. Does Eevee evolve by day or night in FR, LG, R, S and E?A. No it doesn't evolve this way. There's no clock in FRLG and no day or night in RS or E. If you wantUmbreon or Espeon you'll have to trade them from colosseum. There is also some kind of randomnessinvolved as well.

Q. I want mew/celebi and I really need one, Where can I get one without having to attend aNintendo Event?A. I wouldn't have a clue, Ask Nintendo. The other alternative is to use a GameShark, but there is agreat chance that doing such a thing will corrupt your save data, We are pretty sure you wouldn't wantthat.

Q. What happens when a Pokémon runs out of PP for it's moves?A. It will use Struggle which is automatic. The power of struggle is directly proportionate to thePokémon's power, the stronger the Pokémon is, the stronger the move is.

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Beautifly evolves if Wurmple's a girl and Dustox if it's a boy.A. Not true. Try this yourself, catch a bunch of female or male wurmple, then evolve them all. They willbecome different species. People will assume that this has been randomised.

Q. Does this program expire after 30 days of use and/or do I need to register?

A. No, It does not expire and no you don't need to register.

Q. Can I use this program to look up EVs?A. In a way, yes. The program will show EVs gained via defeat of this Pokémon. This feature is notcurrently finished yet.

Q. Where does ##### live?A. Check the location tab in the Pokémon Database for further information on Pokémon locations.

Q. Can the internal web browser be used for web searching and other general uses?A. Yes you can, But is recommended that you use a browser such as Opera, Safari, Netscape, Firefoxor Internet Explorer 7 rather than the internal browser for security reasons and because they are fully

featured.

Q. How can I save the information?A. By clicking the 'Export' button in the Database you are currently viewing.

Q. How do I view the information I just saved?A. If you exported something as a txt file you should be able to open the file in Notepad, If you exportedas html or xml you should be able to open the file in a browser of your choice.

Q. How do I print the information?A. You must first save the information, Open the file with Notepad, WordPad or another text editor,Select print and away you go!

Q. What do those '?' buttons do?A. They tend to give help and advice - or provide easy access to the help documentation. We will addmore if the need arises.

Q. Why did you change to .NET?A. The .Net platform is a much more stable and a modern language unlike VB6. VB6 applications canhave memory leaks most of the time since there is no Garbage Collection. Garbage Collection preventsmemory leaks.VB6 was released in 1998 and is becoming old and obsolete, Visual Basic .net 2005 has features thatVB6 could never dream of and the best thing is VB6 applications can be easily ported to .net 2.0, it onlytakes a few minutes.

You can compile this program using Microsoft's Visual Basic 2005 Express, (I wrote this program with itin fact) which is free for personal, student and academic use.

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. The Program does not work because it complains that it doesn't have .net Framework!A. Please make sure you have .net Framework installed and working correctly. If you use x86, use thex86 version of the Framework. If you use Windows XP Professional x64-bit version, Server 2003 x64 orVista x64, install the X64 (AMD64) version.

Q. When I launch the program, it complains that I don't have the right version of .net Framework2.0? What gives?A. Please make sure you have the final version installed. If you have a beta version of the Framework, you must first uninstall it and install the final version.

Q. How much HDD space does this program and it's associated files take up?A. Somewhere between 12 and 38 megabytes, Though this seems to vary depending on whatcomponents have been installed and what file system your computer is using.

Q. Will this program run on the 64 bit versions of Windows?A. We do not know, As we do not have the luxury of owning such a copy. Though we should estimatethat the programs will still run in a 64 bit environment, however we do have a 64 bit compilation

available just in case. You should be able to find one on the downloads page.

Q. Will you guy's and gal's make a Mac or Linux version?A. If someone would be kind enough to help us make one and we just might go ahead and do it. Ofcourse Someone will need to lend us a G5 workstation however to make the whole process easier anda copy of RealBasic wouldn't go astray either...A Mac and Linux version of the Ability Database is available on request. Please be aware that the filesize(s) is/are larger than the Pokémon Program Suite's main file.

Q. Will you guy's and gal's make a version of this program in <insert your language here>?A. Get a of Visual Basic 2005 (At the time of writing you can get Visual Basic 2005 express editionFREE PERMANENTLY) in <insert your language here> and go ahead and try, We will use babelfish to

make some translations ourselves.

Q. Where can I find updates?A. You can find updates on my website here or you can arrange to get them emailed to you. But beforeyou can install an updated version you MUST uninstall the old one at the Add/Remove Programsfeature in the Control Panel.

Q. You've infringed copyright, I made those programs!!!A. NO YOU DIDN'T! Me and a very hard working bunch of people here have brought this program. Useit, DO NOT abuse it... Or face the full extent of the law.

Q. Could I burn this program to a CD?

A. Sure, But please read the GPL first.

Q. Can I become a member of the dev team?A. Yes, But you must "apply" first on the forums or on the official Sourceforge.net project site, whichcan be found here.

Q. Would any of you guys & gals rate *insert team/move set/IV set/EV training/ETC*?A. No. Never ask us to do that again.

Q. I spotted an error. What can I do?A. E-mail us as soon as possible or post a bug report topic here! Just include the phrase "NWPPS2K6Error" in the subject and it will be dealt with as soon as the email is received.

Q. Could I make a donation?A. Not just yet. We are thinking of opening a PayPal account but not just yet, We have more pressingissues to attend to. If course if you REALLY want to make a donation you could send a check or moneyorder for any amount in Australian money from an Australian bank to Nytewolf Creations.

Q. What Pokémon are available in the 'Pokémon Database' tool?A. All are programmed, Except for the Diamond and Pearl Pokémon who will be added when we know

more. You can use the Supported Pokémon List available on the Misc menu.

Copyright (C) 2000,2001,2002 Free Software Foundation, Inc.51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1301 USAEveryone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this license document, butchanging it is not allowed.

0. PREAMBLE

The purpose of this License is to make a manual, textbook, or other functional and usefuldocument "free" in the sense of freedom: to assure everyone the effective freedom to copy andredistribute it, with or without modifying it, either commercially or non-commercially.Secondarily, this License preserves for the author and publisher a way to get credit for theirwork, while not being considered responsible for modifications made by others.

This License is a kind of "copyleft", which means that derivative works of the document mustthemselves be free in the same sense. It complements the GNU General Public License, which is a copyleft license designed for free software.

We have designed this License in order to use it for manuals for free software, because freesoftware needs free documentation: a free program should come with manuals providing thesame freedoms that the software does. But this License is not limited to software manuals; itcan be used for any textual work, regardless of subject matter or whether it is published as aprinted book. We recommend this License principally for works whose purpose is instruction orreference.

1. APPLICABILITY AND DEFINITIONS

This License applies to any manual or other work, in any medium, that contains a noticeplaced by the copyright holder saying it can be distributed under the terms of this License.Such a notice grants a world-wide, royalty-free license, unlimited in duration, to use that workunder the conditions stated herein. The "Document", below, refers to any such manual orwork. Any member of the public is a licensee, and is addressed as "you". You accept the

license if you copy, modify or distribute the work in a way requiring permission under copyrightlaw.

A "Modified Version" of the Document means any work containing the Document or a portionof it, either copied verbatim, or with modifications and/or translated into another language.

A "Secondary Section" is a named appendix or a front-matter section of the Document thatdeals exclusively with the relationship of the publishers or authors of the Document to theDocument's overall subject (or to related matters) and contains nothing that could fall directlywithin that overall subject. (Thus, if the Document is in part a textbook of mathematics, aSecondary Section may not explain any mathematics.) The relationship could be a matter ofhistorical connection with the subject or with related matters, or of legal, commercial, philosophical, ethical or political position regarding them.

The "Invariant Sections" are certain Secondary Sections whose titles are designated, as beingthose of Invariant Sections, in the notice that says that the Document is released under thisLicense. If a section does not fit the above definition of Secondary then it is not allowed to bedesignated as Invariant. The Document may contain zero Invariant Sections. If the Documentdoes not identify any Invariant Sections then there are none.

The "Cover Texts" are certain short passages of text that are listed, as Front-Cover Texts orBack-Cover Texts, in the notice that says that the Document is released under this License. AFront-Cover Text may be at most 5 words, and a Back-Cover Text may be at most 25 words.

A "Transparent" copy of the Document means a machine-readable copy, represented in aformat whose specification is available to the general public, that is suitable for revising thedocument straightforwardly with generic text editors or (for images composed of pixels) genericpaint programs or (for drawings) some widely available drawing editor, and that is suitable forinput to text formatters or for automatic translation to a variety of formats suitable for input totext formatters. A copy made in an otherwise Transparent file format whose markup, orabsence of markup, has been arranged to thwart or discourage subsequent modification byreaders is not Transparent. An image format is not Transparent if used for any substantialamount of text. A copy that is not "Transparent" is called "Opaque".

Examples of suitable formats for Transparent copies include plain ASCII without markup,

Texinfo input format, LaTeX input format, SGML or XML using a publicly available DTD, andstandard-conforming simple HTML, PostScript or PDF designed for human modification.Examples of transparent image formats include PNG, XCF and JPG. Opaque formats includeproprietary formats that can be read and edited only by proprietary word processors, SGML orXML for which the DTD and/or processing tools are not generally available, and the machine-generated HTML, PostScript or PDF produced by some word processors for output purposesonly.

The "Title Page" means, for a printed book, the title page itself, plus such following pages asare needed to hold, legibly, the material this License requires to appear in the title page. Forworks in formats which do not have any title page as such, "Title Page" means the text near

the most prominent appearance of the work's title, preceding the beginning of the body of thetext.

A section "Entitled XYZ" means a named subunit of the Document whose title either isprecisely XYZ or contains XYZ in parentheses following text that translates XYZ in anotherlanguage. (Here XYZ stands for a specific section name mentioned below, such as"Acknowledgements", "Dedications", "Endorsements", or "History".) To "Preserve the Title" ofsuch a section when you modify the Document means that it remains a section "Entitled XYZ"according to this definition.

The Document may include Warranty Disclaimers next to the notice which states that thisLicense applies to the Document. These Warranty Disclaimers are considered to be includedby reference in this License, but only as regards disclaiming warranties: any other implicationthat these Warranty Disclaimers may have is void and has no effect on the meaning of thisLicense.

2. VERBATIM COPYING

You may copy and distribute the Document in any medium, either commercially ornoncommercially, provided that this License, the copyright notices, and the license noticesaying this License applies to the Document are reproduced in all copies, and that you add noother conditions whatsoever to those of this License. You may not use technical measures toobstruct or control the reading or further copying of the copies you make or distribute. However, you may accept compensation in exchange for copies. If you distribute a largeenough number of copies you must also follow the conditions in section 3.

You may also lend copies, under the same conditions stated above, and you may publicly

display copies.

3. COPYING IN QUANTITY

If you publish printed copies (or copies in media that commonly have printed covers) of theDocument, numbering more than 100, and the Document's license notice requires CoverTexts, you must enclose the copies in covers that carry, clearly and legibly, all these CoverTexts: Front-Cover Texts on the front cover, and Back-Cover Texts on the back cover. Bothcovers must also clearly and legibly identify you as the publisher of these copies. The frontcover must present the full title with all words of the title equally prominent and visible. You

may add other material on the covers in addition. Copying with changes limited to the covers,as long as they preserve the title of the Document and satisfy these conditions, can be treatedas verbatim copying in other respects.

If the required texts for either cover are too voluminous to fit legibly, you should put the firstones listed (as many as fit reasonably) on the actual cover, and continue the rest onto adjacentpages.

If you publish or distribute Opaque copies of the Document numbering more than 100, youmust either include a machine-readable Transparent copy along with each Opaque copy, orstate in or with each Opaque copy a computer-network location from which the general

network-using public has access to download using public-standard network protocols acomplete Transparent copy of the Document, free of added material. If you use the latteroption, you must take reasonably prudent steps, when you begin distribution of Opaque copiesin quantity, to ensure that this Transparent copy will remain thus accessible at the statedlocation until at least one year after the last time you distribute an Opaque copy (directly orthrough your agents or retailers) of that edition to the public.

It is requested, but not required, that you contact the authors of the Document well beforeredistributing any large number of copies, to give them a chance to provide you with anupdated version of the Document.

4. MODIFICATIONS

You may copy and distribute a Modified Version of the Document under the conditions ofsections 2 and 3 above, provided that you release the Modified Version under precisely thisLicense, with the Modified Version filling the role of the Document, thus licensing distribution

and modification of the Modified Version to whoever possesses a copy of it. In addition, youmust do these things in the Modified Version:

A. Use in the Title Page (and on the covers, if any) a title distinct from that of the Document, and from those of previous versions (which should, if there were any, be listed in the Historysection of the Document). You may use the same title as a previous version if the originalpublisher of that version gives permission.B. List on the Title Page, as authors, one or more persons or entities responsible forauthorship of the modifications in the Modified Version, together with at least five of theprincipal authors of the Document (all of its principal authors, if it has fewer than five), unlessthey release you from this requirement.

C. State on the Title page the name of the publisher of the Modified Version, as the publisher.D. Preserve all the copyright notices of the Document.E. Add an appropriate copyright notice for your modifications adjacent to the other copyrightnotices.F. Preserve in that license notice the full lists of Invariant Sections and required Cover Textsgiven in the Document's license notice.H. Include an unaltered copy of this License.I. Preserve the section Entitled "History", Preserve its Title, and add to it an item stating at

least the title, year, new authors, and publisher of the Modified Version as given on the TitlePage. If there is no section Entitled "History" in the Document, create one stating the title, year, authors, and publisher of the Document as given on its Title Page, then add an item describingthe Modified Version as stated in the previous sentence.J. Preserve the network location, if any, given in the Document for public access to atransparent copy of the Document, and likewise the network locations given in the Documentfor previous versions it was based on. These may be placed in the "History" section. You mayomit a network location for a work that was published at least four years before the Documentitself, or if the original publisher of the version it refers to gives permission.K. For any section Entitled "Acknowledgements" or "Dedications", Preserve the Title of thesection, and preserve in the section all the substance and tone of each of the contributor

acknowledgements and/or dedications given therein.L. Preserve all the Invariant Sections of the Document, unaltered in their text and in their titles.Section numbers or the equivalent are not considered part of the section titles.M. If the Modified Version includes new front-matter sections or appendices that qualify asSecondary Sections and contain no material copied from the Document, you may at youroption designate some or all of these sections as invariant. To do this, add their titles to the listof Invariant Sections in the Modified Version's license notice. These titles must be distinct fromany other section titles.

You may add a section Entitled "Endorsements", provided it contains nothing but

endorsements of your Modified Version by various parties--for example, statements of peerreview or that the text has been approved by an organization as the authoritative definition of astandard.

You may add a passage of up to five words as a Front-Cover Text, and a passage of up to 25words as a Back-Cover Text, to the end of the list of Cover Texts in the Modified Version. Onlyone passage of Front-Cover Text and one of Back-Cover Text may be added by (or througharrangements made by) any one entity. If the Document already includes a cover text for thesame cover, previously added by you or by arrangement made by the same entity you areacting on behalf of, you may not add another; but you may replace the old one, on explicitpermission from the previous publisher that added the old one.

The author(s) and publisher(s) of the Document do not by this License give permission to usetheir names for publicity for or to assert or imply endorsement of any Modified Version.

5. COMBINING DOCUMENTS

You may combine the Document with other documents released under this License, under theterms defined in section 4 above for modified versions, provided that you include in thecombination all of the Invariant Sections of all of the original documents, unmodified, and listthem all as Invariant Sections of your combined work in its license notice, and that you

preserve all their Warranty Disclaimers.

The combined work need only contain one copy of this License, and multiple identical InvariantSections may be replaced with a single copy. If there are multiple Invariant Sections with thesame name but different contents, make the title of each such section unique by adding at theend of it, in parentheses, the name of the original author or publisher of that section if known,or else a unique number. Make the same adjustment to the section titles in the list of InvariantSections in the license notice of the combined work.

In the combination, you must combine any sections Entitled "History" in the various originaldocuments, forming one section Entitled "History"; likewise combine any sections Entitled

"Acknowledgements", and any sections Entitled "Dedications". You must delete all sectionsEntitled "Endorsements".

6. COLLECTIONS OF DOCUMENTS

You may make a collection consisting of the Document and other documents released underthis License, and replace the individual copies of this License in the various documents with asingle copy that is included in the collection, provided that you follow the rules of this Licensefor verbatim copying of each of the documents in all other respects.

You may extract a single document from such a collection, and distribute it individually underthis License, provided you insert a copy of this License into the extracted document, and followthis License in all other respects regarding verbatim copying of that document.

7. AGGREGATION WITH INDEPENDENT WORKS

A compilation of the Document or its derivatives with other separate and independentdocuments or works, in or on a volume of a storage or distribution medium, is called an"aggregate" if the copyright resulting from the compilation is not used to limit the legal rights ofthe compilation's users beyond what the individual works permit. When the Document isincluded in an aggregate, this License does not apply to the other works in the aggregatewhich are not themselves derivative works of the Document.

If the Cover Text requirement of section 3 is applicable to these copies of the Document, thenif the Document is less than one half of the entire aggregate, the Document's Cover Texts maybe placed on covers that bracket the Document within the aggregate, or the electronic

equivalent of covers if the Document is in electronic form. Otherwise they must appear onprinted covers that bracket the whole aggregate.

8. TRANSLATION

Translation is considered a kind of modification, so you may distribute translations of theDocument under the terms of section 4. Replacing Invariant Sections with translations requiresspecial permission from their copyright holders, but you may include translations of some or allInvariant Sections in addition to the original versions of these Invariant Sections. You mayinclude a translation of this License, and all the license notices in the Document, and any
