5.Reduce the risk of healthcare-

associated infections� CDC guidelines, APHIC and OSHA standards

have revised policy. Staff must:

- Wear hair covers when in the lab

- Wear masks during set up trolley and procedure

- During PPM, all staff in the room wear a mask and a hat. The door to the room is kept closed.

I have never seen an infection from a cath procedure!

� Wearing masks during set up trolley and for pacer procedure is a good idea but a bit of an overkill for a cath.
