WELCOME TO RECEPTION

Water bottles and snacksAll Reception children are given a named water bottle which they keep in class. This is filled daily with water and they can access at any point throughout the day. In Key Stage 1 the children are given free fruit every day, we encourage children to try this fruit.

Our PE day is a TuesdayPE Kit• White t-shirt• Black shorts• Pumps• Black jogging bottoms and jumper

Please ensure all PE kit is named thankyou.

Please ensure that long hair is tied back on PE days.

Show and tellShow and tell is on a Friday. Children may bring something they would like to shareand talk to the class about. This can be anything from a photograph to a favourite toy.

We hope you all had a lovely summer. We’d Like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Receptionand inform you of the curriculum this half term.

ReadingWe will be sending home individual readingscheme books, these are picture books initially and the focus will be discussing the pictures and developinglanguage.

Open doorsStarting next Friday we will open the gateearlier at 3.00pm. This allows parents to come inand see what the children have been up to during the week. You will have the opportunity to look at displays, view their learning wall and look through books. This is also an opportunity to askmyself and Mrs Goodson any questions.
