DIRECTIONS:Print out the caterpillar head and rear, and then print the body segments, in color of possible. Printing on heavy paper and/or laminating will increase the life of these pieces. Cut out each piece along the dotted lines. Print out multiple copies for longer caterpillars and more fun!

HOW TO USE:Number Caterpillars: Have students do their numbers on the caterpillars in proper order.Countdown Caterpillars: Have students count backwards from 10 to 1, 20 to 1, or 30 to 1 with their caterpillars.Evens/Odds Caterpillars: Have students do the evens or odds up to 30.Skip Count Caterpillars: Practice Skip-counting by 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, or 5’s up to 30.Blank Trains: Do any of the above strategies, but arrange them in order, leaving a few blank. Students must guess or fill in what they think belongs in the blanks to properly finish the pattern caterpillars.
