Services and Music List
November 2018
WELCOME
November begins with the piercing of darkening days by the great Feast of All Saints, sung for us
this year by the Cathedral’s Voluntary Choir. Remembrance, and especially this year on the 100th
anniversary of the end of the First World War, looms large with Somerset Remembers on 6
November; the Cathedral’s Act of Remembrance within the Eucharist on Sunday 11 November
as well as a devotional performance of John Rutter’s Requiem in the afternoon. The Opus dei, the
work of God in worship, goes on throughout this Kingdom season, adjuring us to see the signs
of God at work in the world.
We hope very much that you will join us when you can.
The Reverend Canon Nicholas Jepson-Biddle, Precentor
Communicant members of other churches in good standing are welcome to receive the Sacrament in
this church if they so desire.
