Thankful for Thanksgiving,

ball Sweeps winding down
— Thank you, Ben D and
Bernie L for chairing these
programs.
The Baby Bottles have
been distributed — Thanks to Tom P and all
our speakers. Life Choices banquet was well
attended by our Brother Knights — helping
and supporting Pro Life causes. A “Well
Done” to Jeff B for all his efforts in our first
Hoss’s fundraiser. We’ll have a Membership
Drive December 2 and 3 at St. Thomas
More. Thanks, Chauncey R. Our Council
Memorial Mass, organized by Warden Bob
D., will be on November 12 at St Bernard —
9:30 Mass. And Special Congratulations to
Br Tom Pearson as the recipient of the
Greensburg Diocesan Chapter “Fr Henry J.
Marcinek" Award. As was mentioned at our
October Chapter Meeting, "Tom teaches
Schmoozers how to Schmooze!." Well de-
served, Tom. We're proud of you and all
you do for our Council and the Diocese.
Thanks to Joe Bobick for his Church bulletin
efforts and to Chauncey for taking over the
bulletin duties. Also Thanks to P J Belin for
all his years of chairing the Knight of the
Year initiative — and to Tom Bresnahan for
taking over those duties.
To Jim Dalecki, thanks for all your dedica-
tion as Council Treasurer — and to Jeff
Bacha for stepping in to that role ...
God is Great … God is Good It's the Year of
the Volunteer!
Keep the Faith, G K Don Hogan
MEMBERSHIP APPEAL DEC. 2 & 3 AT ST. THOMAS MORE Brothers, You all know the drill. Halloween is passed, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye. What other time of year is so busy with anticipation, prepa-ration and celebration?
Among all the events activities, please keep in mind our daily commitment in our service as Knights of Columbus. We don’t lose sight of our missions in support of church, family and country. Let’s remem-ber, too, that our brotherhood sustains us and unites us, no matter the month or week or holiday season.
Mark on your calendar the first weekend of Decem-ber, when we will conduct a membership appeal at St. Thomas More University Parish. With Advent underway, spirits will be high. It is our opportunity to invite and welcome Catholic gentlemen to carry that spirit of goodwill with them the year around.
Our membership team will be in need of Knights to speak on behalf of our council during the Masses or to greet and answer questions from interested men (and women) following the service. Please check the volunteer sign-up sheet at the Nov 8 meeting.
The appeal will take place at the 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2; 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 (bring your appetite, as we also will serve a pancake breakfast); and at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. The right words said at the right time to the right men could mean an additional celebration in

Baby Bottle Campaign Our Baby Bottle Committee is currently very busy collecting
and counting the money from full baby bottles from St. Ber-
nards and St. Thomas More Parishes. Please return any bot-
tles to the churches or bring them to the Council meeting. All
money collected goes to support the My Choice Pregnancy
Center next to the IUP campus. At this center last year, 26
lives were saved when the mothers
were considering abortion. I thank
all my Brother Knights for support-
ing this wonderful program.

MYTH: “I’m covered by my Life Insurance ‘through work’." While group life insurance can help with your
family's financial needs in the case of an un-
timely death, it does not replace the need for
individually owned life insurance.
I will be happy to meet with you and provide a no-cost needs analysis, so you’ll know ex-actly where you stand.
And, I’m pleased to say that I’m celebrating my 1st Year Anniversary as your K of C Insurance Representative! It has been great getting to know many of you and serving you.
