Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the Ministry of
MSME – National SC ST Hub Confluence’ on
20th September 2017 to have stakeholder
interaction with Industry Associations and
Incubators from across the country. The
program was also graced by Shri. Giriraj

President of India stated that an integrated multidimensional development agenda is the need of the hour to remove
unemployment and to facilitate SC/ST entrepreneurs under the National SC ST Hub scheme.

62nd Annual General Meeting of the Corporation was held on 29th September, 2017 at the registered office of the Corporation, in which a record dividend
of Rs. 31.26 crores for the year 2016-17 was declared by the shareholders. Seen in the picture are

NSIC signs MOU with Alliance of Indian MSMEs NSIC signed an MoU with Alliance of Indian MSMEs (AIM) on 31st August 2017
to further facilitate MSMEs in terms of Technology Upgradation, Marketing and
Credit through NSIC package of Services The MoU was signed by Shri Ravindra
Nath, CMD, NSIC & Shri Dinesh Rai, (IAS Retired), Founding Chairman, Alliance
of Indian MSMEs (AIM) in the presence of Shri A. K. Mittal, Director (Finance),
NSIC & senior officials of NSIC and representing members of AIM. This MoU
would facilitate the two organisations in reaching out to the doorsteps of
MSMEs pan India with an enriched bouquet of each others’ services enabling MSMEs to focus on their core business.
NSIC signs MoU with ACC Ltd.NSIC signed an MoU with ACC India on 17th July 2017, for supply
of Cement to various MSMEs in the state of Andhra Pradesh &
Telangana. The MoU was signed by Shri Ashish Patil, Director Sales
ICI, ACC India and Shri K.Srinivas, Zonal Head – South-II, NSIC Ltd, in
the presence of Shri B. Nagaraj, Regional Manager, ACC India, Shri
C. Venkata Swamy, Senior Branch Manager, NSIC, Hyderabad and Shri D. Sri Krishna, Chief Manager (F&A),
NSIC, Hyderabad.
NSIC signs MOU with POWER2SMENSIC signed an MoU with M/s. Power2SME on 29th August 2017 to further
facilitate MSMEs in sourcing variety of raw materials like Chemicals, inks, Paints,
Metals, Polymers. This MoU would facilitate the two companies in reaching out
to the doorsteps of MSMEs pan India with an enriched bouquet of Raw Materials,
enabling MSMEs to focus on their core business. The MoU was signed by Shri
Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC & Shri. R Narayan, Founder and CEO, Power2SME &
Vice President, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) (CMSME) in the presence of senior officials of
NSIC.
NSIC signs MOU with EPCH Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC signed an MOU with Shri Rakesh
Kumar, ED, EPCH in the august presence of Dr. Arun Kumar Panda,
IAS, Secretary, Ms. Alka Arora, JS, MSME. NSIC signed the MoU with
Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) on 13.10.2017
for the benefit of MSME sectors of India in categories of Handicraft
products including Home, Furniture, Furnishings, Lifestyle, Gift &
Decorative and Fashion.

NSIC Sadbhavana DayOn the occasion of Sadbhavana Day,
Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC along with
all the NSIC employees took Sadbhavana Day Pledge.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri P. Udayakumar, Director
(P&M), NSIC stated that all employees should work
harmoniously for creating an enhanced work place
environment and better facilitation to MSME sector.
Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC addressed the 7th MSME National Convention organised by AIMA on “Ease
of Doing Business”. Mr. Nath spoke about challenges & opportunities for SMEs and how NSIC is providing it’s
services to SMEs with the aim of providing “Ease of Doing Business”.

“Understanding GST – One Tax, One Nation” Training ProgramGoods and Services Tax (GST) has become a reality from 1st July,
2017. Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi hailed it as a
“great step by team India” that will help transform the economy,
bring in transparency and bring in the system of “one country one
tax”. In view of the above, so that all the NSIC employees are fully
equipped with the changing tax reforms in facilitating the MSME
sector, a one day training program was organized on 08/07/17
and 22/07/17 wherein 30 employees participated. The Program was
inaugurated by Shri A.K. Mittal, Director (Finance), NSIC. Speaking on
this occasion, he stated that this tax reform will boost the Indian MSME
sector and all NSIC employees must participate in an interactive manner so that they are able to have a good
understanding of GST rules.

The 1st AMDP inaugurated by Sh. A.K.Mittal, Director (Finance), NSICThe 1st Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP)
for NSIC Employees was inaugurated by Shri A. K. Mittal, Director
(Finance), NSIC on 31st July 2017. The program lays focus on
upgrading soft skills of the employees as well as updating them on
the functional schemes of the corporation through case studies,
interactive sessions and sharing of their experiences with each
other for disseminating the benefits of NSIC schemes amongst the
MSME sector. 25 Participants from various NSIC Branch Offices
located all over India are participating in this Training Program.
NSIC is in the process of Transition to new ISO standards and all the employees are being oriented
towards meeting new challenges. A Training Program on ISO 9001: 2015 standard and Enterprise Risk
Management (ERM) (09-10 August 2017) was inaugurated by Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC.

Dr. Gulshan Sharma, Director General, International
Chamber for Service Industry took a session on
“Emerging Opportunities in the Service Sector” on
31st August 2017 during the ongoing 2nd Advanced
Management Program. Also present on this occasion
were Shri Manoj Lal, General Manager(SG), NSIC and
Shri K. K. Sharma, General Manager (SC/ST Hub).

Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC interacted with Media persons on 11.07.17 during their visit to NSIC Incubation Centre at New Delhi. Speaking on this occasion, about NSIC Initiatives in the area of technical support to MSMEs through ‘NSIC Technical Services Centres’ (NTSCs) and a number of TICs & Livelihood Business Incubation Centre (LBIs ) spread across the country, he stated that the range of technical services provided through these centers include skill development in Hi-Tech as well as conventional trades, material and product testing at our testing laboratories accredited by NABL / BIS, common facilities, energy audit, environment management etc., NSIC is also providing services to MSME units by providing skilled & professional workforce by imparting training on demand driven, industry oriented courses fields like Mechanical Workshop, Information Technology, CAD/CAM & CNC, Multimedia & Animation, Electrical & Electronics, Entrepreneurship Development. The curriculum of each training programme is defined in such a way so as to give maximum practical exposure through practical training to the trainees. More than 40,000 trainees are trained by the Centre and successfully placed in companies like Munjal Showa, Motherson Sumi, Mitsubishi Electric, HCL, Infosys Ltd. and many more, through NSIC campus placement.

NSIC participates in AMICOM 2017Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Mktg), NSIC addressed the 3rd Annual MGO Industry Cooperation Meet- AMICOM 2017 on the topic “Recent Policy Initiatives for Promotion of MSMEs in Defence Manufacturing”. The event was organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Master General Ordnance , Indian Army. Sh. Surendra Nath Tripathi, Addl. Secy & DC, Ministry of MSME inaugurated the event.

A delegation of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) visits NSICA delegation of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) officers posted
at different RBI locations across the country visited NSIC
on 28/09/17 and were impressed by the various programs
and initiatives of NSIC for the growth of MSME sector in

NSIC sets up Vocational Training Centre / Incubation Centre (VTC / IC) in Gambia
Hon’ble Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Govt. of Tanzania, Mr. Charles J.P. Mwijage visited NSIC recently. Shri Ravindra
Nath, CMD, NSIC took them around NSIC’s facilities for creating self employment opportunities and apprised them about how
NSIC promotes MSMEs in India and abroad. Hon’ble Minister appreciated NSIC’s services and desired to have cooperation
with NSIC for promotion of MSMEs in Tanzania. Shri A. K. Mittal, Director (Finance) along with other senior officials of NSIC
was also present.

Hon’ble Minister of MSME / KVIC, Government of Uttar
Pradesh, Sri Satya Dev Pachauri inaugurated NSIC’s Online
Finance Facilitation Centre at Kanpur. This is the eighth
Centre launched by NSIC in the country and will assist
MSMEs of this region in getting easy access to Finance from
Banks through online portal www.nsicffconline.in. Present
on the occasion were Shri A. K. Mittal, Director(Finance), Shri
Gaurang Dixit, Chief General Manager(Fin.), Shri D. K. Bhatia

CMD, NSIC interacts with Associations at Hyderabad
The INTERNATIONAL LIFESTYLE EXPO at HITEX, Hyderabad from 6th to 8th Oct’17 was inaugurated by Shri
Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC in the presence of Shri T.K.Sreedevi, IAS, Director, Municipal Administration, Govt.
of Telangana, as Guest of Honour and Dr P.G.S.Rao,
Director, MSME, Govt. of India as a Special Guest.
Also present on this occasion were Mrs Vandana
Maheshwari, National Secretary, COWE and Mrs
Rama Devi, President, COWE. In this exhibition, NSIC
(Hyderabad) setup an exclusive pavilion in the expo,
wherein 62 No. of SC/ST Entrepreneurs exhibited
their products under NSSH Scheme in the sectors of
Textiles, Food products, furnishings, herbals, cosmetics, jewellery, Handicrafts, arts, etc
An interaction meeting with MSME Associations was held at
Hyderabad on 06.10.2017. The meeting was chaired by Shri
Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and attended by FTAPCCI, FETSIA, COWE,
ALEAP, Fibreglass Association, etc. CMD urged the associations to
come forward and explore the various opportunities to work with
NSIC, so that all their members can avail NSIC schemes and the
facilities offered by Ministry of MSME. The meeting was attended
by Shri K.Srinivas, Zonal Head, South-II along with Branch Heads
from all the branches in the zone and other officials.

Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC launches an online finance facilitation centre at CoimbatoreShri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC launched an online
finance facilitation centre at Coimbatore to facilitate
MSMEs get bank loans.Speaking on the occasion,
Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC informed that the NSIC
-FFC online is a dedicated online platform under
which the credit to MSMEs are facilitated through
web linkages established between NSIC’s portal and
Various Banks portal. It disseminates information about
MSME schemes offered by the Banks to create larger
awareness amongst MSMEs who are desirous of availing credit and acts as a nodal point for aggregating
various financing requirements of MSMEs therby ensuring speedy disposal of their credit proposals thus
saving time and cost of MSMEs as also providing handholding support to MSMEs.Also present on this
occasion were Shri Gaurang Dixit,CGM(Fin) ,Shri Vidya Sagar Singh,Zonal Head (South3),NSIC amongst large
number of CODISSIA members.Shri V.Sundaram,President,CODISSIA applauded this initiative of NSIC in the
region in line with Digital India initiative of Government of India.

Credit Facilitation Scheme on 24.10.2017.The participating

participated under the National SC-ST Hub, an initiative of Ministry

A Special Vendor Development Programme (SVDP) for SC/ST
Entrepreneurs was conducted by NSIC (Cochin) in association
with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) &
Central PSUs - Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Kochi Refinery),
HLL Life Care Ltd (HLL), Thiruvananthapuram, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram &
Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram on 25th October
2017, at Thiruvananthapuram. Shri P.Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC was the Chief
Guest for this program. During his inaugural address, Shri P. Udayakumar highlighted the role played by the
National SC -ST Hub and the schemes which has been designed by NSIC to benefit SC/ST Entrepreneurs. The
Public Procurement Policy 2012 and the benefits being granted to SC/ST Entrepreneurs therein were also
highlighted upon and he urged the entrepreneurs to avail of the various schemes formulated upon for the
benefit of MSMEs. The Central PSUs were also encouraged to avail this opportunity and register maximum
entrepreneurs belonging to SC/ST category as their vendors and offered DICCI, Central PSUs and the SC/ST
entrepreneurs all the support from NSIC in this regard. Also present on this occasion were Shri.P.Ravikumar,

Development Programme on 25.09.2017 in association with
NTPC, Lucknow for Special Category Entrepreneurs. (S.C/ST) . The
objective of the Programme was to increase the share of MSEs in
Government Purchase with special emphasis on Registration of
NTPC Vendors under NSIC Govt. Purchase Scheme.

A Special Vendor Development Programme(SVDP) for
SC/ST entrepreneurs was organized by the NSIC (Noida)
in association with “Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce
& Industry - DICCI, MSME-DI AGRA” at Bulandshahar,
U.P. on 22.07.2017 to highlight the benefits of National
SC ST Hub.

NSIC (Pondicherry) conducted Special Vendor Development
Programme (SVDP) for SC/STs entrepreneur on 02.09.2017 at
Vadalur, Cuddalore District (TN) supported by DICCI, WASH-NGO,
Vadalur, MSME-DI, Chennai, DIC - Cuddalore and NLC INDIA
Limited. More than 25 SC/STs Entrepreneurs participated the
program. The program was coordinated by Shri V. Renganathan,
Senior Branch Manager, NSIC, Pondicherry.

National Special Vendor Development Programme
(SVDP) for SC/ST MSE units organised by NSIC
(Pondicherry) on 13.07.2017 with the support
of DICCI. The Participating PSUs - BHEL, Ranipet,
(TN), NLC INDIA Ltd. and ONGC Ltd. explained
their purchase procedure from the vendors on this
occassion.

19.08.17 with IOCL and SIDBI. The event was attended

NSIC (Madurai) organizes Special Marketing Campaign at Dindigul NSIC (Madurai) organized a Special Marketing Campaign in
association with District Industries Centre (DIC), Lead Bank,
Dindigul District and DICCI, Dindigul on 31.08.2017. On this
occasion Shri P. S. Prem Anand, Senior Branch Manager,
NSIC, Madurai highlighted the benefits offered by NSIC under
National SC/ST Hub.
A Marketing Workshop organizes by NSIC (Jaipur)NSIC (Jaipur) VKI Area organized a marketing workshop
on NSIC schemes, National SC ST Hub and GST with SC/
ST entrepreneur of Ajmer on 03-09-2017 with DICCI. In
this event around 42 entrepreneur of SC/ST Category had
participated.
NSIC Madurai with Railways and Ordnance Factory NSIC (Madurai) in association with Madurai District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA),
Madurai and DICCI, Madurai on 20.09.2017 organized a Special Vendor Development Programme. On this
occasion, Shri Vidya Sagar Singh, Zonal Head (South-III), NSIC, Chennai explained about benefits offered by
NSIC under National SC/ST Hub to the participants. The participating officials from Southern Railway, Madurai
and Ordnance Factory, Trichy explained their Vendor Registration and Purchase procedures to the participants.
The participants were also shown the live webcast of National SC ST Hub Confluence in this program.

Programme for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe
Entrepreneurs at DIC Hall on 20.09.2017. 40 SC/ST
entrepreneurs attended the programme. The event
was inaugurated by Mrs. Rohini R Bhajibhakare District Collectore, (Salem). The program was coordinated by
Sh G.Kannan SBM, NSIC Coimbatore who along with his team interacted with the participants and highlighted
the benefits of National SC ST Hub scheme.

During the visit, in June 2017, Shri Kalraj Mishra,
the then Hon’ble Union Minister of MSME, Govt.
of India applauded the efforts of NSIC and creating
Entrepreneurs of Handicraft Trades Trainees from
Teliamara, Tripura. Also present on this occasion
were Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and Shri B.
H. Anilkumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME.

NSIC & Tally Education Pvt. Ltd. (TEPL) signed MoU to impart training jointly on Tally ERP9 software with
GST in the technical centers of NSIC. Mr. Satvinder Singh, Chief General Manager, NSIC & Mr. Manish
Chowdhary, CEO, Tally Education Pvt. Ltd. signed and exchanged MOU on 22.8.2017 in the presence
of Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, Mr. A.K. Mittal, Director, Finance and other officials from NSIC &
TEPL.This initiative would create a
platform for the MSMEs to train
their existing accounts personnel
for the preparation of accounts in
compliance of GST requirements.
Also such training to the youths
would address the demand of
skilled accounts professionals.

NSIC (Guwahati) has been conducting Skill Development training Programme on different Trades from last two
years. They recently conducted training program on various Handicraft items such as Doormat, Carpet etc.
making in Teliamura, (West Tripura District). Consecutively NSIC (Guwahati) organized Vendor development
Program in Khumlwng, (Tripura) on 18.11. 2016 where CRPF and BSF were the main local buyers. Impressed
by the high quality standards being maintained in the training being imparted On spot total 5 Units has got
order from CRPF and BSF for volume of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousands only) for the financial year
2016-17and for the current financial year 2017-18, they have got order for 2, 00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh
