Bishop’s Visit

Bishop Mitchell Rozanski stopped for a brief visit to our school and parish on September 29th. The students and staff welcomed him to our school and offered brief prayers of blessing. Students sang a special song, and presented him with cards, notes and gifts. We look forward to having him visit again soon.

ANNUAL REPORT 2014-2015 ST. STANISLAUS SCHOOL & PARISH CENTER

The theme we have chosen for this school year is “He has Made Everything Beautiful in its time!” Ecclesiastes 3:11. The message focuses on trusting in God’s plan. He has set a time for everything to work for our good. We need to listen with our hearts and minds open to God. When we use our time for serving others, a relationship with God, and finding ways to build up the community, we will reap many blessings. God has appointed a time for every purpose and activity under heaven. This is our time to reflect on the many blessings and gifts we have received as a school during the past year. The benefactors, parishioners, grandparents, and families are an essential part of our school. Your continued financial support, your witness of service, giving of your time to participate in the many activities, and being supportive of the students is truly appreciated. We give thanks for all of you in our prayers at the beginning of each day. May we all continue to see the beauty God has created, not only in the creation around us, but in the people we encounter each day. We are invited to take time to listen with our heart to what God is asking of us at this time; what is His purpose for us at this moment.

The theme for the 2014-2015 School year is “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” There is a season for every purpose under heaven. Eccl 3:11 After the opening school liturgy, students and staff gathered outside the school to visually represent the seasons of the year forming a tree.

St. Stanislaus School students in grades four through eight went to St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Springfield on September 12, 2014. The students participated in a liturgy celebrated by Fr. Michael Englert, OFM, Conv., and then had an opportunity to venerate the Relic of St. Anthony.

On the evening of September 8, 2014 Walgreens Pharmacy provided a flu shot clinic for parishioners, parents, grandparents, and other adults in the community to receive their annual flu shots. Walgreens made a donation of school supplies based on the number of individuals that received vaccinations. St. Stanislaus School received crayons, markers, notepads, band aids, and various other items for the students’ use.
