Hottest Female DJ - NIKKI NICOLE

I found my passion for radio as a summer intern for WVBE Vibe 100 in Roa-noke VA, under the leadership of PD Walt Ford. In one month I knew this would be my life! In a business that’s all about networking, I reached out to PD Jeff “Uzi D” Anderson who directed me to the Production Director, Rob Swynga at WJMH 102 Jamz in Greensboro, NC., and this is where it

truly began!

I started voicing and producing commercials and became a team player in no time, which grabbed the attention of PD Brian Douglas and MD Tap

Money, who wondered if I could handle an on-air shift. I landed the over night weekend slot, as 900 Ronda, the sexy, risqué female who loved to tell it like it is. 900 Ronda moved up the ladder to success quickly as a fill-in for

other jocks and eventually moved up to Sunday afternoons. I also co-hosted the 10 o’clock Banger with #1 night jock Waleed Coyote. 102 Jamz was the best, but it was time for 900 Ronda to find her identity in this in-dustry. So I applied for the mid-day position at WIKS and the Program Di-

rector, J-Dot heard potential for nights and hired me as the new night jock!! I was outspoken, loud, related to all ages and the listeners were drawn like

a magnet to the “Nik at Nite Show”.

That determination, love, and passion, brought me to Augusta, GA, as Mid-day personality at WFXA 103Jamz. While in GA, I launched 2hot4radio

Sounds. This is a full service voiceover and imaging company to offset any station from the competition with award winning production to completely

blow your mind. This is what it means to be “2hot4radio”!!!

Now you can find me in Raleigh, NC as the Production Director for the Ra-dio-One cluster!!

In The Booth with Amanda

Amanda Pollard Rising singer and songwriter Amanda Pollard is no stranger to music. Singing since she learned to speak, Amanda was

formally introduced to music as a child. She attended Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina where

she majored in vocal music becoming a classically trained first soprano. Amanda combines her impressive classical

training with jazz and musical theater experience to create a dynamic range of vocal abilities. Her performance re-

sume includes National Anthem performances for the Carolina Panthers, the former Charlotte Hornets, the Charlotte

Knights, and the 2009 North Carolina Underground Music Awards where Amanda was nominated for Best Female R&B

Artist. With countless performances in the Charlotte area where she receives high accolades for her live shows, Aman-

da was awarded the 2010 Carolina Music Award for Best Female R&B Artist. Having evolved beyond the borders of her

home state of North Carolina, Amanda is most recently nominated for a 2011 Southern Entertainment Award , an

award ceremony that honors the best in entertainment throughout 12 Southern states. “It is such an honor to be

nominated for an award that has been won by platinum selling artists like T.I., Drake and Nicki Minaj”, she said. “To

hear my name mentioned in the same awards ceremony as these artists is amazing.”

Since embarking on her musical journey, Amanda’s life has revolved around her music. Blessed with a natural gift of

writing, Amanda began songwriting as a teen and hopes to capture the essence of human experience in her songs.

“People get sad, get their hearts broken, and fall in love. But people also wonder what life is all about, they want to in-

spire others, they get happy, get hype, dance and go out,” she said. “I want to capture all of that in my music and I’m

inspired by everyone and everything around me.”

With hopes of becoming a major recording artist, Amanda is an active member of ASCAP and has the determination

and talent to stop at nothing to make it to the top.
