The Toastmasters spring conference will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mayfield Heights. Our special guest will be Toastmasters International First Vice President Balraj Arunasalam. Conference Chairs are Tony Green and Lenard Taylor. The kickoff meeting for the MetroHealth System community club was held in August and, less than a month later, the club chartered with 29 members. Congratulations to club sponsors Michelle Mencke and Ed Larson, and special thanks to administrator Andrea Flynn. We wish the new club much success. What can you do to spread the benefits of Toastmasters? Do you work or volunteer in an organization where employees or members would benefits from improved presentation or networking skills? Could sharper interviewing or off-the-cuff com- munication skills or better leadership skills help anyone you know? Invite that person to your next club meeting! Many organizations in our District 10 geographic area haven’t even heard of Toastmasters. This January, we’re stepping up our club leader- ship training by showing you how to build your club membership using online marketing! We will follow up with specialty training for judges. Although the deadline for receipt of nomination forms is February 10, 2017, the nominating committee chair wants to hear from you and will begin scheduling interviews beginning in January. The earlier we hear from you the more time we will have to accommodate everyone’s calendar.
