Novak Djokovic was born on May 22, 1987 in Belgrade, in Serbia of Father Srdjan and

mother Dijana. He began playing tennis at the age of four.

That summer, one of the best tennis coaches Jelena Geni, led the camp. Every day he goes

there and just watched while J. Geni one day invited him to play!

She immediately recognized his talent and perseverance. While he went to school, rather than

to remain in the school playground and play with other children, Novak ran home to get ready

for training.

2001. was his - Golden year for the then 14-year-old Novak. It ends as a European champion

in singles, doubles and team competition, and at the World Junior Championships he won

silver competing for Yugoslavia.

The following year he became European champion in the competition under 16 years of age.

Wins prestigious tournaments 'La Boule 'and' La Poet "in France," Princess Cup "in Miami

(18 years), and the ITF tournament in Pancevo, where he defeated older rivals for three years.

After five games ITF tournament he ranked as 40th best junior in the World.

2003 has also been special for him because then he won the first ATP points by winning the"futures" organized by tenis club ~ TK 'Red Star'.

2005th he get qualified for Wimbledon and reached to the third round, which enabled him to

make a big jump in the rankings. By the end of the year he ended on 78 place on ATP list!

2006th The very next year he wins in tournaments and the ATP Tour. in the Dutch city of

Amersfoort, and directly entered at the top 20 as the youngest player!

The same year he started cooperating with tennis coach Marian Vajda from Slovakia who

claims that he gave him swing to the top and that he was like a second father to him! Today

he is still his coach and the greatest support.

2007 season was marked by a series of Novak's success .. The first title in Adelaide, and the

semifinals in Rotterdam, finals and the U.S. Open and Indian Wells, he came to be in the Top

10 to the Miami finally broke through the magical rule two rivals Roger Federer and Rafael

Nadal.
