WELCOME TO FUKUOKA - GET ORIENTATED!

¬ trains 철도

There are three systems “Nishitetsu”, “Sub-

way”, and “JR”. The subway links the two

city centers, Tenjin and Hakata to the Air-

port. Take “Nishitetsu” to visit sites such

as Dazaifu or Yanagawa. Take “JR” to travel

outside Fukuoka to Nagasaki, Beppu and

the new Kyushu Shinkansen to Kagoshima.

후쿠오카 시내 철도는 크게 ‘니시테츠 전철’ ‘지하철’

‘JR’로 나뉜다. 지하철은 공항과 시내 중심가인 하카타,

텐진을 이어준다. 다자이후나 야나가와 등 관광지는 ‘

니시테츠 전철’를 이용하면 편리하다. 나가사키, 벳푸,

가고시마 등 후쿠오카현 외의 지역을 방문하거나

신칸센을 탄다면 ‘JR’을 이용하자.

¬ Buses 버스

Go almost anywhere aboard Nishitetsu Bus

in Fukuoka City! Rates vary by distance, but

are just ¥100 within the ¥100 Bus area (see

p. 4 ~ 5 yellow area) including Hakata Sta.,

Su-miyoshi, Yakuineki-mae, Tenjin and Gofu-

kumachi. Combined with Showa Bus, you can

go as far as Itoshima from Hakata Station.

후쿠오카 시내를 편리하게 돌아볼 수 있는 니시테츠

버스. 요금은 승차거리에 따라 상이. 후쿠오카 도심부에

한해서 100엔 버스를 운행 중. 운행 지역은 하카타역,

스미요시, 야쿠인 에키마에, 텐진, 고후쿠마치가 포함

된다 (4~5쪽 지도의 노란색으로 표시된 지역에 한함).

니시테츠 버스 외에 쇼와버스가 ‘하카타역~이토시마

방면’ 노선을 운행 중.

How to ride 버스 타는 방법

● Check the destination on the front and

side displays of the bus’s exterior. Board via

the center doors.

● If paying cash, take a ticket as you board.

If you have a nimoca IC card wave it over the

sensor, ticket not required.

● Bus stops and fees are displayed on the

monitor next to a driver. The fee appears un-

der the ticket number.

● Fees are displayed on the monitor above

the driver. Match your ticket number to get

your fee.

● Push the stop button to alert the driver that

you want to get off at the next stop.

● Drop the fee and your ticket into the box

next to the driver and get off from the front

door. If you need change, drop cash into the

box next to the driver. When you are using

nimoca, wave your card above the sensor.

● 버스가 오면 전면이나 승차구 옆의 전광판에 떠

있는 행선지 번호를 확인하고 목적지에 가는 버스가

오면 가운데 문으로 승차한다

● 현금으로 운임을 지불할 경우에는 승차시에

정리권을 뽑는다. IC카드 [nimoca]를 갖고 있을

때에는 승차구의 단말기에 카드를 터치한다 (이

경우에는 정리권이 필요 없음).

● 정차하는 버스 정거장 이름과 운임은, 수시로

운전사 옆의 모니터에 표시된다. 갖고 있는 정리권

번호 아래에 표시 되어 있는 것이 운임이다.

● 목적지 버스 정거장 이름이 모니터에 표시 되고

안내방송이 흐르면 하차 버튼을 누른다.

● 운전사 옆의 박스에 정리권과 정확한 금액의

운임을 넣고, 앞 쪽의 출구로 하차한다. 돈을 바꿔야 할

때에는 동전교환기를 이용하자. (거스름돈이 지급되지

않으므로 미리 동전을 교환해야 한다). nimoca를

갖고 있을 경우에는 내리는 문의 nimoca 단말기에

카드를 터치한다.카드를 터치한다.

가정적 바. 쿨한 아프리카를 알리고 싶다는 세네갈

출신의 사디씨와 일본인인 쿄코씨의 노력이 곳곳에

보인다. 문을 열면 먼저 보이는 세네갈의 현대 아티스트

아마드 퉁카라씨의 작품인 전위적인 그림은 가게를

상징하는 작품이다. 어셔 등 세계를 무대로 활약하는

아프리카 출신 뮤지션들의 BGM은 지금까지의

아프리카의 이미지를 뒤엎는 멋진 스타일이다. 음식은

talent, lending the space a uniquely cosmo-

politan vibe. In addition to an extensive drinks

selection - including baobab fruit juice cock-

travelling provides a chance to

try new, often memorable foods

in unfamiliar surroundings. Mizo-

guchi, the owner of Le Breton, is

no stranger to such experiences. As a pâtis-

sier working actively in Tokyo and Fukuoka,

he decided to visit Europe to discover what

a galette really tasted like. A type of crêpe

made with buckwheat, galettes originate in

Brittany, northern France. They generally con-

tain ham, cheese and egg, but any combina-

tion of fillings is possible. After the first bite,

Mizoguchi was hooked and he collected local

recipes from no less than six towns to bring

back home. Le Breton serves 28 varieties

of galette and 33 dessert crêpes. Mizoguchi

wants his customers to enjoy galettes daily,

not just as treats, as the people of Brittany do,

so prices are reasonable at ¥600 for one filled

with egg and cheese. A lunch set including a

galette and a salad is served for ¥750 from

11:00 ~ 15:00. Japanese fillet steak, chicken

confit and other à la carte items join the menu

for dinner and are all washed down well with

a glass of French wine.

것이다. 가게의 셰프인 미조구치씨에게는 프랑스

브르타뉴에서 만난 갈레트가 잊을 수 없는 요리이다.

원래 도쿄와 후쿠오카에서 파티쉐로써 활약했던

미조구치씨는 본고장의 맛을 배우고 싶어 프랑스로

여행을 떠났다. 브르타뉴의 마을 6곳에서 각 지방의

독특한 갈레트 스타일과 제조법을 열심히 배웠다.

French dishes, whilst Wap-

pa Teishokudo serves classic

Japanese set menus at affordable prices.

Elsewhere, more than a few gourmands are

known to visit Chinese restaurant Ji Xing,

in a quiet indy-style setting, look no further

than Motoy Coffee, which opens from 05:00

until 03:00, ideal for those who can’t wait for

Starbucks to open. It’s just one of the many

gems you can discover in this area.

Another attraction of Kego-hondori is its

array of small boutiques and sundry shops.

Untidy sells antique items and originally de-

signed bags, and Flower Shop Blue Lady dis-

plays its colorful bouquets out in front of the

store. Not too far from these stylish estab-

lishments, rice and fish sellers of all ages

still attract a loyal customer base. One of

the street’s landmarks is Sunny Kego, a su-

permarket which has been loyally patronised

by locals since Kego-hondori’s golden years.

케고경찰서부터 사쿠라자카역까지 이어진 케고혼도오리는 고급맨션이 즐비한

케야키도오리의 바로 남쪽 옆 블록에 위치한 만큼 다소 부유한 느낌. 혼도오리라는

길은 넓진 않지만 가게들이 늘어서 있고, 사람과 차가 오고 가는 활기 넘치는 거리이다.

이 거리의 매력을 찾아 보자!

평일, 휴일 모두 활기 넘치는 혼도오리. 사람들이 모여드는 가장 큰 이유는 맛집.

식당 ̀ 왓빠 정식`과 중화요리점 ̀ 지신 ,̀ 11시~새벽3시까지 영업하는 ̀ Motoy커피`

등 숨겨진 맛집도 많다. 일을 끝낸 회사원과 OL로 매일 밤 활기차다.

잡화점과 옷가게 등이 있어 산책이 즐겁다는 점도 매력적. 앤틱잡화와 오리지널

백을 판매하는 `Untidy ,̀ 가게 앞의 관엽식물이 눈길을 끄는 `Blue Lady`등 멋진

가게가 많다. 멋진 이미지와는 달리 쌀가게와 생선가게 등 옛 느낌 물씬 나는

개인상점도 영업 중. 케야키도오리 완공 전 주요 도로였던 이곳은 ̀ 써니 케고점`과

함께 주민의 생활에 도움이 되고 있다.

다소 독특한 건물도 있다. 1929년에 지어진 ̀ 일본기독교단 후쿠오카 케고교회`

는 2006년에 도시 경관상도 수상. 건물은 담쟁이가 무성해 긴 역사를 느낄 수 있다.

옆 공원에서 역사를 느끼며 잠시 쉬어 보자.

음식, 쇼핑, 여유로움이 통일감을 이루는 케고혼도오리. 낮과 밤이 각기 다른

stunning exterior of Fukuoka Kego Church. Built in 1929, its ancient

walls are now covered with dark green ivy. In past years, the building’s

unique appearance has earned it the Fukuoka Urban Beautification

목을 축여줄 뿐 아니라 몸과 마음을 녹여주는 장소인

카페를 찾고 싶은 계절, 가을. 어렸을 때부터 카페가

생활의 일부였으며 10대 때 처음으로 혼자 카페를

찾기 시작했다는 프랑스 여성과 가을/겨울 메뉴가

새롭게 등장한 하카타 한큐 4층 ELLE CAFÉ를 찾았다.

고등학생 때 사람의 존재와 사고방식에 대해 관심을

가지게 되어 사회학을 전공했다는 루실. 대학진학에

있어서도 그 열정은 계속되었고 현재 후쿠오카시의

자매도시인 보르도와의 연을 좇아 규슈대학대학원

석사과정 사회학 일환으로서 일본의 학교 문제에

대해 연구하고 있다.

‘어째서 사람이 이런 행동을 하는지, 이게 정말

흥미로운 일이죠.’이라며 온화한 어조로, 하지만 진지한

눈빛으로 말하는 그녀의 꿈은 일본의 대학에서 교편을

잡는 것이다. ‘가능하다면 후쿠오카에서 살고 싶어요.

winter menu offerings with a stylish young

Frenchwoman who has enjoyed going to ca-

fés since her teens.

deaux, she took advantage

of the sister-city relation-

ship with Fukuoka and came

over to attend Kyushu Univer-

sity, where she is currently fur-

thering her studies with a mas-

ter’s course.

“Why do people do

an interesting point to

consider,” she says in

a soft but enthusiastic

tone. Her ambition is to

one day teach at a Japa-

nese university. “I want

to live in Fukuoka as long

as I can. It’s safe, clean

and its proximity to Asia

allows me to travel eas-

ily.” Lucile enjoys cook-

ing with her friends on

weekends. She recre-

ates dishes she has eat-

en at gourmet restaurants- and is particularly

interested in cakes, tarts and other desserts.

These treats are recorded in a handmade rec-

ipe book, and photos of her friends enjoying

her creations are attached.

Lucile ordered hot chocolate (¥777), a

drink from the autumn menu, and its familiar

taste evoked memories of her family in Par-

is. She happily told us they will visit Japan in

December, and plan to spend the new year

holiday period travelling with her. We wish

them a happy trip!

월에 일본을 찾을 가족들과 함께 일본 국내를 여행하고

연말연시에는 후쿠오카에서 단란한 한 때를 보낼 수

있기를 기대하는 루실. ‘사람’과의 관계를 무엇보다도

중요시하고, 사람에 대해 본격적으로 연구 중인

그녀의 달콤한 커뮤니케이션법은 한번쯤 시험해 볼

가치가 있을 듯 하다.

これは国内でのHIV感染者・エイズ患者の報告数と保健所での検査数のグラフ。平成22年はHIV感染者1,075名、エイズ患者469名の計1,544名(前年より92件の増加）の報告がありました。7年連続1,000名を超え，依然として高い水準で推移しております。福岡市では平成22年はHＩＶ感染者24名、エイズ患者16名の計40名(過去最多）でした。この報告数は検査を受けた人だけが対象なので、自分が感染していることを知らずに生活している人はもっと多くいるといわれています。

This graph shows reported cases of HIV infection, AIDS patients and number

of HIV tests at health centers in Japan. There were 1,075 cases of HIV

infection and 469 cases of AIDS reported for the year 2010, for a combined

total of 1,544 cases (an increase of 92 cases since last year). For the past

seven years, the number of cases of HIV and AIDS has been over 1,000 per

year. In Fukuoka City there were 24 cases of HIV infection including cases of

AIDS a combined total of 40 (a record high). And that's not all – these �gures

count only those who were tested. That means there are more people going

about their daily lives without knowing that they have been infected.

此为日本国内报告的艾滋病毒（HIV）感染者和艾

滋病患者人数的统计图表。 2010年报告的艾滋病病毒

（HIV）感染者人数为1075人，艾滋病患者人数为469人，

共计 1544 人（比去年增加了 92 件）。连续 7 年超过

1000 人，仍呈快速上升的趋势。福冈市 2010 年的 HIV

感染者人数为 24 人，艾滋病患者人数为 16 人，共计 40

人（为过去最多）。这仅仅是接受了检查和治疗的患者数

字，也就是说在现实生活中被感染了艾滋病却毫无察觉

的患者数目应该还要更多。

이 도표는 일본내의 HIV감염자와 에이즈 환자수의 보고수, 보건소에서의 검사수의 그래프 입니다. 2010년에 보고된 HIV감염자는 1,075명, 에이즈 환자는 469명으로 총 1,544명(작년비교 92건 증가) 입니다. 7년 연속 1,000명을 넘어 작년과 큰 차 없는 수준으로 추이되고 있습니다. 후쿠오카시 에서는 2010년에 HIV감염자 24명, 에이즈 환자 16명으로 총 40명(과거 최대) 이었습니다.이 보고수치는 검사를 받은 사람 만이 대상이므로 자신이 감염된 사실을 모르고 생활 하고 있는 사람은 더 많을 것으로 예상되고 있습니다.

12月 1日は世界エイズデーです。イベントとして、中央保健所でHIV 抗体即日検査を実施します。日時：１２月３日（土）、４日（日）受付時間：両日とも14:00～15:00場所：中央保健所中央区舞鶴 2-5-1（あいれふ 5F）受付人数：両日とも先着50名（予約不要、無料、匿名）※結果は採血をして約1時間後に直接本人にお渡しします。

※感染の可能性のある日から約3ヶ月経ってからの検査をお勧めします。

discrimination and prejudice against HIV-infected people or AIDS patients.

When flags line the entry to the Fukuoka Convention Center in

November, you know it’s time to welcome the November Grand

Sumo Tournament to town! This year all eyes are on yokozuna

Hakuho, who recently achieved his 20th tournament victory,

becoming one of only six wrestlers in history to do so. We’ll also

be watching Kotoshogiku of Yanagawa City, who has defeated

Hakuho in the past, and who will be formally promoted to ozeki

본 전시회는 특히 자금성과 관련이

있는 여성에 대해 초점을 맞추었다.

草原の王朝契丹The Splendor of the Khitan Dynasty

Six years in the making, this ex-

hibition provides insight into the

ancient dynasty which flour-

ished in East Asia 1,000 years

ago. Focused on three women,

many of the exhibits including

“Mirror Box, Mirror” (10th C, pic-

tured above) were discovered in

an ancient burial mound in Inner

Mongolia and will be shown for

the first time.

Jamaican born dub master Jah

Shaka, who has been playing

since the 60s, comes to Fukuoka

this month. He has earnt a world-

wide reputation with his own

brand of dub, roots and reggae

mixed with traditional Jamaican

music, and played for 11 hours at

this year’s Glastonbury Festival!

계속해 온 자메이카 출신의 쟈 샤카가

후쿠오카를 방문한다. 자메이카 전통

음악을 기반으로 더블, 루츠, 레게 등

새로운 작품을 계속 만들고 있는 그의

사운드는 세계에서도 높은 평가를

페스티벌에서는 무려 11 시간의 공연을

연주되는 하쿠 슈의 동요와 가곡의

울림 속에서 밤 야나가와를 퍼레이드

한다. 가을 밤하늘을 화려하게 장식하는

불꽃놀이도 놓칠 수 없다.

kan, the Fukuoka City Consultation Center, if

they suspect child abuse, which has become

more serious in recent years. Except for the

yearend and new year holidays, it provides

advice 24 hours a day by telephone at 092-

833-3000. Female counselors answer a call

from the girl herself at the number of 092-

833-3001. In addition to these numbers, It’s

also possible to ask advice from the Child

Rearing Support Section (Kosodate Shien-

ka) at each ward office.

from the Ohashi Station on the Nishitetsu

Omuta Line to the Fukudai-mae Station on

the municipal subway’s Nanakuma Line un-

til the end of October 2012. There will be 26

roundtrips on weekdays, 21 on Saturdays,

and 20 on Sundays and holidays. The com-

plete trip takes 52 minutes and costs ¥390.

Hakata Sta. Underground Pick-up / Drop-off

Areas will open beneath the JR Hakata Sta-

tion at 14:00, Oct. 31 (Mon.). The drop off/pick

up space on the second underground level

will have a temporary parking area and taxi

stand for station users. Parking fees will be

free for 20 minutes, ¥500 for the first hour,

and ¥250 for each additional 30 minutes. Us-

ing the walkway eliminates the need to wait

at the Sumiyoshi-dori signal. The space will

be open from 5:15 to 0:25.
