Report cards will become live on Genesis next week, but if you prefer a hardcopy, call your child’s guidance counselor. This is a good time to review attendance with your child. Please be reminded that atten-dance counts and good attendance is linked to good grades.

We are excited to share with the Redwing community our athletic website -- www.hobokenredwings.org. On it, you will find schedules, directions, rosters, pictures and other great information regarding your favorite Redwing sports. You can get alerts to schedule changes and score updates! On the website, there is a link to our Facebook page and remember to follow us on Twitter @hobokenredwings.

Additionally, there is a new app for this website for your mobile device -- just type in “VNN” to Google Play or the Appstore and download it for FREE. You will have everything you need regarding the Redwings at the touch of your fingers!!!

The Hoboken High School Teen Task Force and the Hudson Coun-ty Coalition participated in the “Sticker Shock” project, which sent them out in the community to fight underage drink-ing. Our Teen Task Force helped raise public awareness about the minimum drinking age law by placing stickers

on multi-packs of beer, wine coolers and any other alcohol products that ap-peal to underage drinkers. Most minors who drink alcohol get it from parents or other adult friends who have purchased it legally. The goal of this project is to discourage adults and older peers (those who are 21 and older) from pro-

viding alcohol to minors. In addition to the negative health consequences of alcohol on developing young brains, there can be serious legal consequences for the adults who provide it. Our stu-dents learned a lot by participating in this nationally recognized program.
