ADMISSION INTO ITls OF ASSAM FOR THE SESSION AUGUST 2015

Application for admission in the ITls of Assam for SCVT trades underCraftsmen Training Scheme for the session commencing from August 2015 are invitedfrom permanent residents of Assam. Application form will be issued on paymentRs. 5/-(Rupees Five) only.

The age of candidates for admission must not be below 14 years as on 1st August2015. The details of trades available, duration of courses, minimum entry qualifications, etc. aregiven below. Actual number of seats available for admission' will be notified by the concernedITls. Trainees successfully passing out from the ITls will be granted SCVT certificates.

Applications will be issued from 21/05/2015 to 08/06/2015

Filled up application form with testimonials should be submitted positively on or before08/06/2015 for all the courses at the respective ITls .of Assam. Partially filled up application formand non submission of required testimonials will not be entertained. The acknowledgementreceipt for submission of applicafion forms will be issued by the ITls at the time of submission.The candidates must produce the receipt of submission of forms at the time of certificateverification.

Application forms can also be downloaded from the website of the Directorate ofEmployment & Craftsmen Training, Assam at b.!!P-://www.dectassam.in and deposit the fee offorms in the form of IPO for Rs. 5/-(Rupees Five) only in favour of Sr. Principal! Principal!Superintendent of respective ITls.

30% seats for women candidates shall be given preference in each ITls. If the seats arenot utilized fully, the same could be filled up by male candidates in the co-education ITls.

The candidates must be physically fit to undergo rigorous training and have to undergomedical check-up at the time of admission on payment of prescribed fees. PhysicallyHandicapped candidates will also be considered for admission in to suitable trades subject toapproval of the VRC, Guwahati.

Separate application forms have to be submitted by the candidates for different trades,but he may be admitted in one trade only.

30% supernumerary admission in each unit may be given on the basis of merit as wellas on the reservation policy and as per DGE& T guidelines for supernumerary.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:following procedure-

Selection of candidates for admission will be made as per

(a) POST MATRIC TRADE: Selection for Post Matric Trades will be made on the basis ofmarks secured by the candidates in HSLC examination as the case may be. Threetimes to five times number of sanctioned seats for each trade will be invited forcertificate verification, list of which will be displayed in the Notice Board ofthe respective ITls by. The candidates will have to take admissionw.e.f. 10/07/2015. If any seats that remains vacant, including reservation seats will be filled upfrom the waiting list on the basis of merit only. If any seats found to be vacant from the reservedcategory, where no candidates available in. the waitinq lists, seats will be filled up from the meritlist of general category.

(b) UNDER MATRIC TRADE: Selection for under Martic Trade shall be made on the basisof marks secured in written test to be held on 14/06/2015 eligible candidates for written test mayobtain their Roll Nol Venue of test etc. from respective ITls. The list will be displayed in theNotice Board on a date to be notified by the respective ITls after certificate verification. Theeligible candidates should come prepared with all original certificates and required amount offees as indicated under Column Admission Fees below. Seats remaining vacant on the day ofadmission may be filled up from the merit list on the basis of merit within 7 days by notifying thevacancy position. (If any seats found to be vacant from the reserved category, where nocandidates available in the waiting lists, seats will be filled up from the merit list ofunreserved category). .

lc) PREPARATION OF LIST: Three times to five times of number of sanctioned seatsagainst each trade will be confirmed by the concerned ITls in consultation with the DeputyCommissioner concerned.

GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION PROCESS-AUG 2015

2. All admission forms will be issued after affixing office seal of concerned ITI and puttingname of candidates only.

3. A unique Serial No. may be maintained by ITls at the time of receiving the downloadedforms from the website. E.g.E-RT-0001 for Jorhat or E-GHY-0001 for Guwahati etc..

4. After receiving the forms, the list of candidates will be prepared as per the format atannexure-A. The list of eligible candidates in order of merit (as per format at annexure-B)prepared by ITls will be submitted with a duplicate copy to DECT for approval.

5. From the approved lists, select list and awaiting list for each trade will be prepared by theITls in order of merit and following reservation criteria as notified by the DECT. Thenumber of candidates in select list and merit list will be the same as per the intake capacityincluding supernumerary against each trade/unit.

6. In case there are any vacant seats after the admission, ITls will prepare waiting from the listapproved by DECT and after due approval of admission committee, admission .will be givenfrom the select list.

7. The process of admission will be completed by 18/07/2015.

8. The list of admitted candidates as per format at Annexure-C & Annexure-D have to be

submitted to DECT by 23/07/2015.
