While in fort portal, my home town, a neighbour, gave his three sons seventeen of his best cows and left clear instructions stating that; a half were for the oldest son, a third were for the second son and a ninth of them for the youngest son. Unfortunately, a Month later, The three greedy sons began quarreling & fighting over the cows because seventeen could not be divided by a half, a third or a ninth!

Like many others, an old lady past by & listened to their cow division problem & offered to help solve it.

After a moment of thought, She told them that she will give them her one & only cow so that they could have an even number for easy division. They agreed.

The oldest son took his half of eighteen, i.e. nine cows. The second son took a third of eighteen; i.e. six cows. And the youngest took a ninth of eighteen; i.e. his two cows. The sons were all very happy.

Actually they were so happy that they gave the remaining cow to the old lady; who took it & left while smiling & shaking her head.

You see; 9 + 6 + 2 = 17cowsRemainder; 1 Cow

When angry & pressured you may not think straight & you will usually make the best speech you will ever regret!

Step back a little & try tore-think. All that was needed was a rare third dimension, or call it a new perspective to avert a seemingly impossible situation.

How are you choosing to travel on your ‘womb-to-tomb’ – journey?

Do you use the Power of Notice, or let’s call it “the Eighteenth Cow view” to assist & improve the simple situations around you?

How can we selflessly assist others; like the helpless home-less blind street beggar we go past daily? This human being going through a very bad life situation needs only 500Ug.shs. daily to have a meal.

One blind beggar around the corner had a sign for passers-by reading; “HELP ME. I AM BLIND & VERY HUNGRY!” But he hardly received a penny all day.

A Sister came by that street one day. She re-wrote his sign to positively read; “IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY WITH VERY NICE PEOPLE. I WISH I COULD SEE IT ALL!” From that day on he received over 30,000Ug.shs. He was later invited for corrective surgery. The Power Of Notice changes it all !
