BFAC 5 MAY 2019
As per the email sent to Captains on November 30 2018 Brigade Operations Procedure are now in place and further to this as of March BFAC the Shire of Mundaring Code of Conduct and Dispute resolution are in place
There has been some discussion from Brigades that these documents are required to go through Council and therefore are not yet in use, I would like to advise all Brigades that the Brigade Operating Procedures, Shire of Mundaring Bush Fire Service Code of Conduct and Dispute Resolution Procedure are operational documents and are not required to got to council to be endorsed and are therefore fully operational.
Contractors are currently undergoing quoting for UCL reserves, major works in Helena Valley have been submitted to DFES awaiting approval.
A number of burn plans have been completed and as per last year we will be looking to Brigades for assistance in completing the required burns, all Brigades that assist with UCL burns will be paid.
5.2 Department Fire and Emergency Services
5.3 Department Parks and Wildlife
Perth Hills has commenced burning within the Shire of Mundaring with 2938 ha completed south of Great Eastern Hwy between Flynn and Gorrie Road and 169 ha off Mundaring Weir Road. This links up fire scars and previous prescribed burns.
Further burning will occur as conditions are appropriate and follow priorities for the district.
