• Inspectyourarrowstoinsurethattheyarestraight,undamagedandthateachnockisingoodcondition.Acrackednockcanbreakwhenfiredfromthebowandcausethebowto“dryfire”resultinginpossibleinjurytothearcheranddamagetothebow.Dry-firingisdrawingandreleasingthebowstringwithoutanarrowonthestring.
• Whenpurchasingarrowsforyourbow,consulttheselectionchartfromthearrowmanufacturerandselectthecorrectarrowforyourapplication.Alwaysuseanarrowthatisatleast5grainsperpoundofpeakbowweight.Failuretodosocouldcausepersonalinjuryanddamagetoyourbow.
BOw MaintenanceYourPSEbowwillgiveyoumanyyearsofuseifmaintainedandcaredforproperly. IMPORTANT: Before servicing any PSE bow in a bow press, back out each limb bolt 4 complete turns from bottomed position.• Keepsyntheticcablesandstringswaxed.Applybowstringwaxtoyoursyntheticcablesandstringbeforeeachshootingsession.
• Stringsandcablesmustbereplacedperiodically.Aworncableorstringcansuddenlybreakcausingseriousinjurytothearcheranddamagetothebow.Itisrecommendedthatthestringandcablesbereplacedatleastevery5,000shotsor12months.

InstallthecableguardasshowninFigureA.Adjustthecableguardsothecablesjustclearthearrowvanes.Onbowsusinganoffsetcableguardrod,adjustmentsmustbedonewiththerodintheupposition(approximately2o’clock)asshowninFigureB(10o’clockforlefthandedbows).Over-rotatinganadjustablecableguardcreatesexcessivearrowclearanceandmaycausethecabletotrackincorrectlyonthewheelsandcausepersonalinjuryand/ordamagetothebow.

1. Removethesetscrewsfromthebaseusinga1/16”hexwrench.2. InstalltheBackstop™intothethreadedholebelowthe griponthestring-facingsideofthebow.3. ExtendtheBackstop™untilitmakescontactwiththestring.Markthestring¼”above and¼”belowwhereitmakescontactwiththestring.RemovetheBackstop™and addservingtothatareaofthestring.ReinstalltheBackstop™.4. Toavoidanypossibilityofthecablesstrikingthesetscrews,thesetscrewsmustbe facingawayfromthecables.Iftheyarenot,removetheBackstop™base,addthe washerprovidedandreinstalltheBackstop™baseasshown.5. Securelytightenthebasetothebowhandle.6. Extendrodfrombaseuntilrubberstoppercontactsthestring.Rotateroduntilthe indentationintherodclosesttothealignmenthole(seepicture)canbeidentified. 1. ThreadtheStingStop™nutallthewayuptowardthebumperoftheStingStop™rod.
2. ThreadtheStingStop™rodintothethreadedholebelowthegripontheriser.
Thebowstringwillneedtobedisplacedslightlytoonesidetothreadthe
rodintothebow.
3. UnscrewtheStingStop™untiltherubberbumperapproachesthebowstring.
Markthestring¼”abovetherubberbumperinitshighestpositionand¼”below
thebumperinitslowestposition.RemovetheStingStop™andaddservingtothe
markedareaofthestring.ReinstalltheStingStop™.
4. AdjusttheStingStop™tothedesiredpositionandtightentheStingStop™nut
againsttheriser.TheStingStop™designallowsforthebumpertobepositioned
sothestringstrikesthecenterofthebumper.Itisdesiredtohavesomeclearance
(approximately1/16”)betweenthebumperandthebowstringatbrace.
ItispreferredtohavetheStingStop™rodintheuppositionifpossible,butmay
notbepossibleinordertoachievethenecessaryclearanceandcontactpoint.

installatiOn Of accessOriesArrowrest/Overdraw:Thearrowrestoroverdrawshouldbeinstalledaccordingtotheinstructionsreceivedwiththeproduct.Itisusuallymountedtotheriserinthethreadedholeonthesideoppositetheshelf(Hole“A”)usingthehardwareprovidedwiththearrowrestoroverdraw.Sight:Thesightshouldbeinstalledaccordingtotheinstructionsreceivedwiththeproduct.Itisusuallymountedtotheriserinthethreadedholes(Holes“B”)onthesideoppositetheshelfusingthehardwareprovidedwiththesight.Somebowsareequippedwithmultiplesightmountingholeswhichallowthesighttobemovedupordown.Stabilizer:Thestabilizershouldbemountedaccordingtothemanufacturer’srecommendation.Itisusuallymountedinthethreadedholeonthefrontoftheriser(Hole“C”).BowSling:Thebowslingattachestotheriserofthebowgenerallywiththestabilizer.Ifastabilizerisnotused,attachtheslingtotheriserwiththecorrectsizedboltusingtheholeprovidedforthestabilizer(Hole“C”).
Other aDjustMentsDrawWeight:Yourbowisfactory-settowithin2lbs.ofthepeakdrawweightindicatedonthebowhangtagandthelast2digitsoftheserialnumber.Changesindrawweightcanbemadebyturningthelimbboltinorout.Beforemakinganychangesinweight,turnthelimbboltclockwisetothebottomposition.Neveruseextremetorquewhenturningtheboltordamagetothelimbmayoccur.Thelimbboltthenmaybeturnedcounterclockwisetoobtainthedesiredweight,butNEVERmorethanthenumberofturnsindicatedonthehangtag.Adjusteachlimbexactlythesame.CAUTION:Onsomebowmodels,thelimbboltlockingscrew,limbsupportscrewsorpockettanglockingscrewMUSTbeloosenedBEFOREadjusting.Wheels/Cams: ManyPSEwheelsandcamshaveadjustablefeatures.Eachonecomesfromthefactorysetupandreadytousebuttheremaybeoccasionsthatyouneedtoadjustthecharacteristicsofyourbow.InsomecasesyouwillneedaPSETuneCharttodeterminewhattoadjust,andyoumayneedtoseeaPSEDealerforinformation.Ifyouarenotsureoftheadjustmentyouaremaking,stopandseeyourPSEDealerforassistance.Inmanycases,anappropriatebowpresswillbeneededtomakeadjustmentstocamsandwheels.Ifyoudonothaveanappropriatepress,seeyourPSEDealer.

IfyourbowisequippedwithaCableGuardDamperitshouldbeevenwiththecableslidewhenthebowisatrest.MorethanoneCableGuardDampercanbeused.
Ifyoursolidlimbbowisequippedwithlimbbands,theproperplacementofthebandsisapproximately1/8”beyondthelimbfork.Ifyoursplitlimbbowisequippedwithlimbbands,theproperplacementofthebandsisatleast1/4”awayfromthecam(alignthebandwiththeendofthelimbgraphic).

caM aDjustMents Cam ORIEntatIOn: Oncamswithorientationmarks,areferencemarkisfoundtoindicateanapproximateorientation.Thislineisforreferenceonlyandismeanttogiveapproximateorientationonlyandmayvarybetweenbowmodels.Theorientationofthecamsmaybechangedslightlybytwistingoruntwistingthestringorcables.Ifattachingthestringtothe“+”orthe“-“post,theorientationmarkswillnotbealignedwiththecable.DRaw LEnGth: StRInG POSt aDJUStmEntS SomePSEcamshavestringpostadjustmentsfordrawlength.Forminorchangesindrawlength,thebowmustbeplacedinasuitablebowpressandtensionrelievedfromthestringandcable.Thestringsideofthecammayhaveadditionalposts.Movingthestringfromthepostwiththedottothepostwiththe“+”willincreasedrawbyapproximately¼”.Movingthestringfromthepostwiththedottothepostwiththe“-“willdecreasedrawbyapproximately¼”.

Theinner-camsystemallowsdrawlengthadjustmentsoveraprescribedrangeusuallywithoutputtingthebowinabowpress.Therearetwotypesofinner-camsystems:discretesettinginner-camsandPosi-Lockinner-cams.
Discretesettinginner-camshavetheadjustmentscrewsgoingthroughaspecificholeintheinner-camandthreadingintothecam.Thescrewsneedtobecompletelyremovedtomakeadjustments.The“A”settingisthelongestdrawlengthforthatbowanddrawlengthsgetshorterasyouprogressthroughthealphabet(AtoB,BtoC,etc.)
PosiLockadjustableinner-camsareadjustablein½”drawlengthincrements.The“A”settingisthelongestsettingforthecam.Drawlengthsgetshorterasyouprogressthroughthealphabet(“A”to“B”,“B”to“C”,etc.)byroughly½”perletter.
SecondgenerationPosiLockinner-camsallowfordrawlengthadjustmentsin½”incrementswithoutchanginginner-cams.Toadjustdrawlength,loosenthetwo8-32buttonheadscrews2fullturns.Thiswillallowtheinner-camtobeliftedfarenoughtodisengagethepositioningpinandallowtheinner-camtorotatetoanewposition.Somecamsmayrequirethe8-32buttonheadscrewstomovetoalternatelocationstoreachthenewdrawlengthadjustmentposition.Somedrawlengthadjustmentpositionsmaynotbeaccessiblewithoutputtingthebowinabowpress.Whenthenewdrawlengthadjustmentpositionhasbeenachievedwiththeinner-cam,tightenthetwo8-32buttonheadscrewsandmovethedrawstoptothematchingsetting(“A”and“A”,“B”and“B”).
Incaseswherethereisaninner-camonboththetopandbottomcam,bothcamsmustbesetinthesameletterpositionforthebowtotuneandshootproperly.Incaseswherethereisaseparatedrawstop,thedrawstopmustbemovedtotheholemarkedwiththelettercorrespondingtotheinner-camsetting.

StOP aDJUStmEntS: DRaw StOP:Thepositionofthedrawstopmustmatchthesettingontheinner-cam.Forexample,ifthecamisseton“E”,thedrawstopmustbeplacedinoneofthedrawstopholesmarkedwithan“E”.Iftheinner-camisinthe“B”setting,thestopmustbeinthe“B”position.Certainhybridcamshavetopandbottomstops.Theycanbeshotwithbothstopsforaharder“wall”orwithonlythetopstopforasofter“wall”.Nevershoothybridcamswiththetwostopoptionwithonlythebottomstop.Ineithercase,thestopsneedtobeintheholesmarkedwiththesamemarkingastheinner-camsetting.TheUltraFast(UF)hybridcamsystemhastwovalleysettings-longandshort.Whenusingtopandbottomstopsforahard“wall”bothstopsneedtobeinthesameholedesignation-longorshort.
LEt-Off: Let-offadjustmentispartofthedrawstop.Toadjustfromhighertolowerlet-off,removethedrawstopfromthehigherlet-offholeandreinstallitinthelowerlet-offholeofthecorrespondinginner-camsetting.Forexample,ifthecamissetin“E”thestopmustbereinstalledintheholemarked“E”intherowmarkedwiththelowerlet-offsetting.Changingtolowerlet-offwillshortenthedrawlengthasmallamount.

DRaw LEnGth aDJUStmEnt - PSE “fC”- fLEXIBLE Cam:Theinner-camhasholesmarked“A”through“J”foradjustingdrawlength(seeFigure3)aswellasasetofthreadedholesmarked“S”and“L”.The“L”holesareusedforlongerdrawlengthsandthe“S”holesareusedforshorterdrawlengths(seeFigure4).Seethetableforthesettingrequiredtoachievedifferentdrawlengthsandweight.
Tomakethenecessaryadjustment,removethescrewholdingtheinner-caminplaceandrotatetheinner-camsothelettersettingdesiredlinesupwiththethreaded“L”or“S”holeinthecam.Replaceandtightenthescrew. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM CAMS BE ADJUSTED THE SAME.Theseadjustmentscanbemadeeitherwithorwithoutabowpress.
These two rows of holes are used to determine draw length.
