Registered Dietitian needed for Mountain Empire OlderCitizens Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly. Thedietitian will plan menus and oversee food services atthe PACE Center in Big Stone Gap and oversee menusand education at MEOC congregate meal sites. Thedietitian will join the PACE interdisciplinary team to carefor older adults with chronic illnesses who live at homeand need help with activities of daily living.
The interdisciplinary team includes a physician, nursepractitioner, registered nurse, pharmacist, social worker,physical therapist, occupational therapist, home carecoordinator, transportation specialist, recreation directorand PACE center manager. Together, the team createscare plans and provides health and social services toparticipants in the program.

The Norton Redevelopment and Housing Authority invitesArchitectural and Engineering firms to submit theirqualifications for design, assistance during contractorbidding, and construction contract administration services forrepairs and improvements on the exterior of two three-storybuildings at Hawthorne Acres apartments located onHawthorne Drive in Norton, Virginia.
The scope of the design services will generally include: 1)Replacement of gutters and downspouts and installation ofassociated flashings; 2) Replacement of rotted vertical woodtrim boards and associated flashings; 3) Re-attachment ofslipping metal roof panels; 4) Flashing and re-trimmingaround windows.
Selection of a firm will be based on experience working withsimilar type projects, on experience working with federallyfunded Housing Authorities, proximity to project site, andability to complete the design work in a timely manner,

• Wise Central Dispatch received atotal of 1,760 calls. Of the total callsreceived, 374 were dispatched tothe sheriff’s office, including sevendomestic violence calls.• Criminal process served 11felony warrants, 21 misdemeanorwarrants, made one arrest fordriving under the influence andworked eight traffic accidents.• Civil process served 513 civilpapers.• Twenty-one additional criminalinvestigations were initiated and 33were cleared by arrest.• The sheriff’s office provided 228man hours of courtroom securityfor the three courts.• The sheriff’s office transportswere five for a total of 28.75 manhours, unlocked 23 vehicles andescorted four funerals.• There were 2,279 visitors tocourthouse.
