Project Requirements: Scenario-oriented, Smart, High-security & High-performance

• Customized design based on various scenarios in the campus to meet the coverage

requirements and guarantee the user experience

• Multi-vendor wireless equipment planning, which is fully compatible and does not affect the

user experience

• Guarantee the user experience for large-scale centralized authentication to prevent the

problems of slow authentication and authentication failure

• The fast wireless equipment deployment supports automatic wireless network optimization to

improve the efficiency of deployment and implementation

• Provide targeted operation, maintenance and management methods according to the features

of the wireless network to improve management efficiency

• For wireless network problems, faults can be promptly alerted, and fault prediction analysis can

be provided to avoid risks in advance

• Provide a comprehensive software platform on the foundation of wireless network hardware.

Reflect the values and highlights of the wireless network from the application perspective.

• The manufacturer needs to provide high-quality post-sales services, from design,

implementation, delivery to maintenance

Office and Teaching Buildings – South Lake Campus

AP850-I AP180

• APs are installed in the corridors of the office and teaching areas, with intervals of about 15m, to meet the corridor roaming and coverage requirements of the customer.

• Wall-plate APs are deployed in the general office rooms to meet the daily office requirements.

• Full coverage is provided in office and teaching areas. Seamless roaming is achieved from rooms to corridors and vice versa to deliver excellent network experience.

In-room Wall-plate A Ps:4783AP850- I AP180

• The main Wi-Fi usage location in the dormitory area is in the rooms. Therefore, a wall-plate AP is deployed per room for wireless coverage to meet the students’ Internet access and learning needs. The wireless network optimization improves students' online experience, prevents wireless clients connecting to a distant AP and reduces sticky client problem during roaming.

• APs are deployed in the dormitory lobby for Internet access of the students in the 1st floor lobby.

Outdoor Wi-Fi 6 Scenario

• Omnidirectional products are deployed for all outdoor scenarios. According to the different coverage areas and the actual scenario of the campus, the installation methods include pole-mount and vertical installation.

• Cover the campus roads, basketball courts, sports fields, etc.

Page 11: Northeastern University Wi-Fi 6 Network Implementation

1. During installation, the back of the AP and the wall

should be parallel (180 °). The top logo should be

upright, and the bottom of the AP should be parallel

(180 ° ) to the ground.

2. The installation height of the wall AP not be greater

than 10cm from the roof or less than 35cm from the

ground.

3. After the AP is installed, make sure that the surface

of the AP is clean and free of finger marks, dust

marks, powder, etc., and there is no stain on the

wall near the AP.

4. When installing the wall-plate AP, it is necessary to

avoid the high-voltage circuit system and keep more

than 50cm away from the high-voltage electrical

outlets and distribution boards.

5. For wall-plate AP installation, it should be fixed by

the accessories firmly. When pulling it gently, it

should not be easily detached.
