Mr. Christopher Flanagan, Visual Art Teacher: “The Fine Arts Festival is a wonderful opportu-nity for the Fine Arts Department to invite the community in to see the amazing work that is being done at the High School. These students are so dedicated and so talented that we need to share their extraordinary work with the North Attleborough community. I am so proud of the hard work and dedication our students have to developing their craft.”

Lisa Forsgard: Theatre Director, “This year the Theatre Company took a step back in time to the 1940’s and presented the classic comedy, ‘Harvey,’ in November. We stretched and showed our range and are very proud of the work the students did in the Annual One Act Play Festival in January. In April, we then sold out to two packed houses for the musical ‘Disney’s The Little Mermaid.’ At the Fine Arts Festival we will showcase a scene with the living, dead, and undead in ‘10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse,’ directed by student Jillian Allen, and then reprise the hit number ‘Under the Sea,’ featuring Jason Montes as Sebastian. Also, the twelve-member NAHS North Improv troupe will perform some improv games with the audience.”

AP Computer Science Field Trip In April, Mr. Englander’s AP Computer Science class visited Brown University, to experience the cutting-edge research being done there. They donned virtual reality glasses and entered the university’s world-class virtual reality theater. There, they walked on the surface of Mars, took a trip through the human body, and were immersed inside a poem! Next stop was the Human-Computers Interaction lab, where students interacted with robots that are being trained, using computer programs and artificial intelligence, to learn new behaviors!
