Membership data are like fresh fish:
> After a short time, the quality is not as good anymore …
> After some more time it stinks!
> Challenge 1: How do we provide fresh data?
> Chosen solution: Let the members do the updating themselves.
> Challenge 2: How do we motivate them?

”My page”
> Can be created for every member
> Can be customised to fit each member’s need by the member.
> Can be used to plan and sign up for activities on all levels.
> Can be used to communicate with your guides/scouts, other leaders of the group, and your scout friends.
> Quick and easy updating of membership data.
> Non-members can be given access.

The open source software philosopy …
… means that we share our solution with others who have the same needs – the ”recycling” of a good solution
… ”free” software is not for free, but you share new solutions / versions with cooperation partners
… provides a large network of system developers, it secures a stable development and use of the system
… the good ideas as well as development costs are thus shared

Therefore …
Please feel free to contact the NGSA about this, perhaps we can all benefit from it?
