GOALS AND PROCEDUREThis web-based survey was conducted by Maskína for Nordic Smart Government which is a Nordic collaboration regarding businessenvironment for small and medium sized companies in Scandinavia.

All authorised signers of small and middle sized businesses received an invitation to participate. Three reminders were sent to those whohad not responded at a given time. Also, those who had not answered were reminded to with a phone call. 252 respondents answered inthe end.

The survey was conducted between January 22nd and February 4th 2020.

SHORT DEFINITIONS OF STATISTICAL CONCEPTS IN THE REPORTMean is a measure of the central tendency of responses. A mean is calculated by adding the values of all responses and dividing by thenumber of answers.Standard deviation is the distribution of answers around the mean for a variable that is measured on a continuous scale. A lowstandard deviation implies that the mean is a good measure of the center of the distribution as answers are closely distibuted. Ahigher standard deviation describes a distribution where there is a larger difference between answers.Confidence interval is a range of values we are fairly sure our true value lies in. In this survey a 95% confidence level is used.
