For 16 years I have excitedly awaited the early signs of spring, knowing that another fun-filled summer at Camp Shalom is around the corner. As the staff and I are planning, we are always thinking about the wonderful memories that will be made, for our children, staff and the families at Camp Shalom.
Camp Shalom is a place for learning new skills and reaching goals; where character development is a part of our everyday life, and where lifelong friendships are formed. You will see your child’s connection to the many traditions that are a key component in our daily activities at camp. Year after year, we celebrate and build on these traditions as we:
• Start each day with morning flagpole• Revel in the friendly competition of the Maccabia Games (Color War)• Spend extra time with our friends during overnights and late nights• Enjoy each Wacky Wednesday theme• Share our spirit through songs and cheers• Deepen our friendships by applauding each other’s accomplishments• Build self-confidence through progressive programming• Celebrate Shabbat together, each Friday afternoon
I look forward to spending my summer with your children, our incredible staff, and with all of our supportive families.

Camp Shalom Family Shabbat Dinners July 8 & August 5
Celebrate Shabbat under the stars with your whole family this summer at Camp Shalom! Our Shabbat dinners are scheduled after our Friday visiting days, to make it easier for families to just stay and enjoy various activities before attending our family service and buffet dinner. Campers help prepare by creating table decorations during the camp day. Make Shabbat memorable as we rejoice together!
As a second generation Camp Shalom family, I feel
blessed to be able to provide my daughters with summers in the woods, just like I had
some 30 years ago.

Thanks for another great camp experience. Alex and Téa had a wonderful time. They loved getting on the
bus each morning. Their counselors were well informed and very friendly.
We were amazed how much their swimming improved.
