From the Flower Toss - Dk. Teal (B), cut:• (2) 2 ½” x 28 ½” WOF strips.• (2) 3 ½” x 26 ½” WOF strips.• (1) 2 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (2) 2 ¼” x 3 ½” strips.• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

Sew (1) 3 ½” x 26 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A large panel. Trim the block to measure 25” x 33 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about ⅛” outside the drawn lines.

3. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines.

4. Refer to Figure 2 to arrange and press (1) left outer flower, (1) right outer flower, (1) left inner petal set, (1) right inner petal set, (1) left flower center, (1) right flower center, (1) left stem, (1) right stem, (2) left leaves and (2) right leaves onto (1) 6” x 25” Fabric C strip.

5. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make (1) Top/Bottom border. Repeat to make a second Top/Bottom border.

6. Repeat Steps 4-5 and follow Figure 3 for fabric identification and location to make (2) Side borders using the 5 ¾” x 33 ½” Fabric C strips.

7. Follow Figure 4 and sew (14) assorted 2 ¼” x 3 ½” strips together lengthwise to make (1) Unit 1. Repeat to make a second Unit 1.

8. Follow Figure 5 and sew (14) assorted 2 ¼” x 3 ½” strips together lengthwise to make (1) Unit 2. Repeat to make a second Unit 2.

9. Place (1) 4” Fabric J square on the left side of (1) 4” x 7 ½” Fabric I strip, right sides together (Fig. 6). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 6). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 7). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

10. Place another 4” Fabric J square on the right side of the 4” x 7 ½” Fabric I strip, right sides together (Fig. 8). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 8). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 9). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 3.

11. Repeat Steps 9-10 to make (26) Unit 3’s total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)12. Sew (1) Side Border to each side of the Center Block.

13. Sew (1) Unit 1 to the top of (1) Top/Bottom border lengthwise. Sew (1) Unit 2 to the bottom of the strip. Sew (1) Fabric A Word block to each end of the strip. Sew the resulting strip to the top of the Center Block.

14. Sew (1) Unit 2 to the top of (1) Top/Bottom border lengthwise. Sew (1) Unit 1 to the bottom of the strip. Sew (1) Fabric A Word block to each end of the strip. Sew the resulting strip to the bottom of the Center Block.

15. Sew (8) Unit 3’s together end to end. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of the Center Block.

16. Sew (5) Unit 3’s together end to end. Sew (1) 4” Fabric J square to each end of the strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

17. Layer and quilt as desired.

18. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

19. Bind as desired.
