Standard Operating Procedures

Preparation of shop drawing is very important in order to meet the client’s needs and satisfaction. Being committed to a high quality standard of fabrication works and turning the idea into reality, we see to it that the following procedure has been consistently applied and implemented throughout the entire project completion.

Initial shop drawing to be prepared and submitted based on the contract reference drawings and details given from the contractor to be able to emphasize the basis and the parameter of the contract agreement.

Shop drawing are being executed by showing the necessary Key plans, detail plans, elevations, detailed sections and blow-up details for easy checking; 3D drawing can also be included if there was need for more visibility and clarity.Comments and approval by the consultant(s) / client from the first submittal of shop drawings will be regularly checked and compared with the contract agreements in case of any variations, availability of the specified materials, and even some changes affecting the manner in the execution of scope of works.Necessary ocular inspection/site verification and proper site coordination to the project engineer in-charge will take place immediately to ensure that the approved shop drawings and its will be applicable to the existing site condition and to the fabrication.Engineering works, Design, Calculation and Analyzing Using the STAAD Pro 2006 Static Calculation.As-Built Drawings, Warranty and Guarantee Certificate will also be provided to be used by the client as future references after the final acceptance of works.

Shop-Drawing Preparation

Prior to the final approval of the submitted shop drawings, necessary Material submittals are normally done in two copies, concerning the, consultant and the client(s) to have a clear over view to be able to decide on the appropriate materials they want to use.Usual consideration in the preparation of submitting the required materials samples were as follows.

Materials to be presented are properly labeled according to their material specifications, sizes, and color of paint in accordance to the submitted shop drawings and approved vendor.Quality of fabrication works are properly emphasized showing the welding joint connections and finishing in which a small part of an item will be fabricated.Proper paint application on the material submittals are thoroughly checked to ensure that the quality of paint to be used is suitable for the recommended materials to be used.Other related materials to be submitted are also included such as the method statements, paint system, catalogs and brochures for us to justify that the submitted materials, and shop drawings will be applicable to the existing condition of site, availability of limited resources and mostly the limitation on the execution of works in the fabrication.Required mock-up sample at the site will be followed after the approval of the submitted shop drawings and all the material samples which was being submitted to the consultant/client(s).

After securing the approved shop drawing from the consultant/client, manufacturing Instruction will be transmitted to the workshop. However, necessary coordination and supporting paper will be issued to the production manager in order to avoid any Mis-presentation and repair works in the process of fabrication .Hence, the following procedure were strictly implemented. Issuance of approved Shop Drawings

Two (2) sets of Clear and readable shop drawings will be prepared:One (1) set for the assigned workers at the work shop.One (1) set for the Installation group for counter-checking of shop drawing to the existing site condition.

Material procurementsMaterial breakdown and cutting list will be included in the issuance of manufacturing instruction which will be prepared and acknowledge by the following personnel.

Qs/ QC in- charge- for necessary canvassing/quality controllingPurchasing Manager- for securing the material procurementProject in-charge – for preparationProject Manager- for final checkingGeneral Manager- for final approvalProduction Manager-for acknowledgment of work load

Bar Chart Schedules (BCS)A copy of approved Bar Chart Schedule (BCS) will also be included in the issuance of manufacturing instruction in order to control and monitor the project process/progress.

Workshop InspectionLetter of request for workshop inspection to be able advised the General Contractor and or the consultant(s) to ensure that materials are in accordance with the approved shop drawing, and specifications prior to the schedule of delivery at site. Delivery of MaterialsPrior to the scheduled deliveries of fabricated material at site, proper coordination with the project Engineer in-charge will immediately take place.

Execution of works at the project site is very crucial for the handling over of the project.Therefore, we consistently applied and implemented the following procedure in order to attain a quality product and long range business relationship with our clients. Installation GroupingsInstallation group consist of members that harmoniously work together until the final turn-over of the project.Each group has their own set of tool box to avoid delays while performing their individual.Each group has their own individual safety gadgets and information concerning the safety procedure which is implemented at work area.

Weekly Accomplishment report will be gathered from each group to make sure that the given schedule in the site are being followed by the installation crews.Any discrepancies on the actual site condition will immediately brought to the attention of the Engineer in-charge of the project in verbal coordination or through official letter in order to avoid any.Any changes brought about by the changes on the design, location of the requirements or even the manner of fixation that will affect the given schedules will immediately discuss and confirmed to the Engineer in-charge of the project prior to the implementation of the said changes.Necessary site coordination by the installation supervisor concerning the needed requirements in the work area will be done, such as gate pass for the assigned workers, request for the provision of scaffoldings at the site, tower crane, and hot permit and other related permit to avoid any delays on the mobilization works.Daily Inspection in the work area to see it that the approved shop drawings specifically the manner of fixation on the other trade works by other contractors are being followed to avoid any argument and or damages caused by non-compliance.

Site Coordination / Installation Monitoring

After the Installation are substantially completed, necessary letter of request for Initial inspection will be prepared to arrange together with the representative from the General Contractor and from the consultant side for Initial Inspection concerning Snag list.After arranging all the balance work included in the snag list, Turn-over letter will be submitted for Final Acceptance of works and for Handing- over of Project.
