PASSIVE SAFETYFront, side & curtain airbagsThe Micra features up to 6 airbags. The dual front and side thorax airbags help protect youand your front passenger. But it also has optional curtain airbags. The side airbags, housedin the seat, help protect your head and chest. The curtain airbags run the length of theinterior to protect front and rear occupants from impacts of outside objects in a crash.

Auto headlights / rain sensing wipersWhen the natural light fades, Micra’s lights turn on so you can see and be seen. Therain-sensing wipers take care of the rain while you take care of the driving.

Active headrestsThe Micra’s active headrests may save your neck. If a rear impact accident occurs, theseheadrests move forward to limit head movement. So there’s less risk of serious neck injuries.As the impact subsides, a spring mechanism returns the headrest back to its normal position.

ACTIVE SAFETYSafer brakingThree standard braking systems work together to help you stop safely. Electronic BrakeForce Distribution (EBD) ensures optimum braking on all wheels, depending on car load androad surface. Brake Assist measures the force a driver applies to the brake pedal. When theforce exceeds a preset amount, Brake Assist applies the brakes fully. And ABS prevents thewheels from locking so you stay in control of the car.
