These techniques use a repeating set of creases to create a variety of faceted shapes, which can then be combined infinitely to create three-dimensional tessellated patterns. My interest in folded models lies within the transformation of a flat sheet of paper into an elastic and fluid paper model. It is this moment of fluidity frozen within a rigid glass form, which fascinates me, most. Using the optical properties of white glass, I am able to create a surface which is reminiscent of paper, yet retains the unique properties of glass.
